Chapter 1- The psycho
Madison’s POV
“I’ll pick you up in 20 minutes, i just left” i said as i hurriedly turned on my car
“Come soon Maddy, my car broke down i have been waiting here forever” he said on the other end and i gulped
“I’m coming Lucas, wait” i said as i ended the call and drove to his office
I hurriedly drove through the traffic eager to reach the fancy building until finally
After a drive of almost 20 minutes, the building came into view and i pulled into the parking lot to see a crowd gather around the entrance
I honked to get their attention and create space but no one move
Worried, i got out of the car and made my way through the crowd
I saw a man aiming a gun to another person’s head and my eyes widened as I recognized the target
“LUCAS” i immediately ran to him standing in front of the gun
“Please let him go, its not his fault” i pleaded with the other man who eyed me curiously
“We’ll leave right now” i said as i hurriedly dragged my twin to the car and opened the passenger door for him
As i sat in the drivers seat, i glanced at the man one last time who stared at me intensely, before i drove away
“What the hell was that” i asked as i finally caught my breath
“He’s a psychopath” Lucas said through gritted teeth and i felt my throat go dry
He was pointing a gun at my brother and this is the first thing about him my brother says?
“What the hell did you even do?” I asked him angrily as i parked the car at a nearby cafe and turned my attention to Lucas
“Nothing. I told you, my car broke down and it happened to break down in front of that psycho’s car, he asked me to move it and i told him I couldn’t so he started screaming at me and i said something back. He suddenly took out a gun and well” Lucas said stopping at the part that i saw
“What a psycho” i said as i recalled his cold expressions
He didn’t even look human
“Who the hell was that even? So much attitude? Standing in someone else’s parking lot playing a hero?” I said angrily as i gripped my fingers around the steering wheel
“He’s Alexander Castillo” Lucas said and i blinked at him
“Castillo as in”
“As in the heir of the Castillo Family and probably my Future Boss” Lucas said and i felt a chill down my spine
Is that why he stood there with no sense of fear in his eyes?
The thought made me boil with anger
“I despise people like him” i said before i pressed on the accelerator and drove back to our house
I pulled the car in the driveway and we both hurriedly walked inside
“Wait madison” Lucas held my arm and stopped me
“Don’t tell mom and dad” he said and i looked at him
He was right, they would freak out for no reason
“Alright” i said squeezing his arm and we both made our way to the lounge room to see the family sitting together
“where did you both go without me” Maria spoke pouting and Lucas let out a laugh
“My car broke down, i asked Maddy to pick me up” he said sitting down beside Maria who gave him a long look before finally breaking in a grin
We all spent the rest of the evening watching TV and laughing and soon, the events of the past hour exited my brain until
RING RING- the sudden ringing of the bell made me anxious
I get anxious easily, i can sense when something isn’t right
As i stood up to open the door, i felt my stomach tying itself in knots
Call it my intuition or a superpower, i can tell when trouble is ahead
The thought got replaced with a feeling as I opened the front door and found him standing
