Fated Reunion
Chapter 1: The Gala
The sleek black limousine rolled to a stop in front of the grand hotel, its polished surface reflecting the golden lights of the venue. Inside, Clara Yoon smoothed the fabric of her long, elegant black dress, her fingers trembling slightly.
Junhoo, ever the composed heir to a political dynasty, gave her hand a reassuring squeeze. "Relax," he murmured, his deep voice steady. "You’ll be fine."
She forced a smile. "I know. It’s just… a lot."
The door opened, and the cool night air rushed in. Junhoo stepped out first, his tall frame clad in a perfectly tailored tuxedo, exuding effortless charm. He extended his hand to her, and she took it, stepping onto the red carpet.
The moment they entered the grand hall, heads turned. The room was filled with chaebol heirs, business tycoons, and investors—South Korea’s elite. And among them, standing near the center, was Seokjin, the renowned host of the evening.
His warm smile widened as he spotted them. "Junhoo! You made it."
Junhoo nodded, guiding Clara forward. "Seokjin, this is Clara Yoon, my fiancée."
Clara bowed slightly. "It’s an honor to meet you."
Seokjin’s eyes twinkled. "The pleasure is mine. Junhoo’s spoken highly of you."
Before she could respond, Seokjin turned, waving someone over. "Ah, Yoongi-ah! Come meet our guests."
Clara’s breath hitched.
A familiar figure approached—sharp eyes, a quiet demeanor, and that same guarded expression she hadn’t seen in years.
Min Yoongi.
Her chest tightened. The delivery boy she once knew—the one who used to bring her coffee in the rain, who had held her when she cried over failed auditions, who had disappeared without a word—was now standing before her as a global superstar.
And he recognized her instantly.
His steps faltered for just a second, his gaze locking onto hers. "...Clara?"
Her lips parted, but no sound came out.
Junhoo glanced between them. "You two know each other?"
Yoongi recovered first, his voice smooth but distant. "We… met a long time ago."
Clara swallowed hard, forcing her voice to stay steady. "Yes. A long time ago."
The air between them was thick with unspoken words—memories of whispered promises, shared dreams, and a goodbye that had never been said.
Junhoo, sensing the tension but misreading it, smiled politely. "Small world."
Seokjin, oblivious, clapped Yoongi on the shoulder. "Yoongi here is one of my closest friends. Who would’ve thought you’d already know Junhoo’s fiancée?"
Yoongi’s jaw tightened slightly, but he gave a small nod. "Life is full of surprises."
Clara’s fingers curled into her palms, her nails digging in just enough to ground herself. She had spent years burying the past, convincing herself she had moved on.
But one look at him, and it all came rushing back.
And now, fate had thrown them together again—under the worst possible circumstances.

The party continued around them, laughter and clinking glasses filling the space. But for Clara, everything faded into background noise.
Yoongi excused himself shortly after, disappearing into the crowd.
Junhoo leaned down, his voice low. "Are you alright? You seem… off."
She forced a smile. "Just tired. It’s been a long day."
He studied her for a moment before nodding. "We’ll leave soon."
But as the night wore on, Clara couldn’t stop glancing toward the direction Yoongi had gone.
Why now? Why here?
And most importantly—
Did he ever think about me after all this time?
