They said the walls never speak⦠but I swear, last night, I heard them whisper my name.
The hallway was silent, yet my heart pounded like a trapped bird. Every creak of the old wooden floor felt like a warning.
Behind the closed door, shadows moved. Voicesβlow, urgent, and coldβargued about my fate.
I pressed my ear against the door, holding my breath.
