RELATO # 1 RISAS DE UN BEBÉ

En un pueblito alejado del bullicio de la ciudad, donde no hay grandes pavimentos ni centros comerciales, hay un lugar tranquilo donde el aire parece oler a flores silvestres y fresas.

De ese pueblito soy yo: Aina, una estudiante de 14 años, muy querida por mis amigas Mari y Lore.

En un día cualquiera, después del colegio, ¿qué podíamos hacer para entretenernos en un pueblo?

Jugar fútbol o a la casita con muñecas y Barbies.

Pero ese día jugamos en la casa de Mari, porque sus padres le habían comprado juguetes nuevos.

Entre ellos, un muñeco bebé bastante bonito —eso dijo Lore—.

A mí me pareció un poco raro... incluso escalofriante.

Pero no le di importancia. Solo jugamos.

Al día siguiente, en la escuela, Mari nos contó a Lore y a mí que no había podido dormir bien.

Decía que el muñeco bebé no paraba de reírse y burlarse de ella.

Que caminaba.

Que le sonreía.

Obviamente no le creímos...

hasta que una mañana apareció toda arañada, como si hubiera peleado con un gato.

Nos miramos, asombradas.

—Vamos a hacer una pijamada.

La noche de la pijamada, efectivamente, el muñeco no paraba de reírse.

Decía:

—Por favor... jueguen conmigo...

con una voz grave y burlona.

Y no dejaba de moverse.

No dormimos en toda la noche.

Cuando amaneció y bajamos a desayunar, la mamá de Mari nos vio pálidas, con ojeras y marcas extrañas.

Nos preguntó si nos habíamos peleado.

Al mismo tiempo respondimos:

—No señora... solo jugábamos.

Después del desayuno fuimos al cuarto de Mari.

Ella estaba estresada y asustada.

Decía que tal vez el muñeco podría matarnos.

Pero había algo raro:

durante el día, el muñeco no se movía.

Entonces se me ocurrió una idea:

tirarlo.

Y así lo hicimos.

Al día siguiente, Mari nos dijo que por fin había podido dormir bien.

La felicité. Me alegré por ella.

Pero luego dije:

—Tengo algo muy grave que contarles.

Ayer por la tarde quise jugar con mi hermana a la casita...

y el muñeco bebé apareció en mi cesto de juguetes.

Esta vez no se movía.

No se reía.

Lore me miró pálida, con terror en los ojos, y me preguntó:

—Entonces... ¿qué te hizo?

Le conté que solo se sentó en mi cama...

y me dijo que jugara con él.

Que debía decidir...

irme con él.

Esa fue la última vez que vimos a Aina
