Prologue
Rain poured relentlessly over the silent streets, turning the night cold and unforgiving. Kashvi hurried along the empty road, pulling her shawl closer as the wind brushed past her.
A sudden scream broke the silence.
Her steps slowed.
The sound came from a dark alley nearby. Every instinct told her to ignore it and keep walking. This city had taught her that curiosity could be dangerous.
But something made her glance toward the alley.
And that single glance changed everything.
Under the dim flickering streetlight, several men surrounded someone lying helplessly on the ground. Fear crept up Kashvi’s spine as she watched from a distance.
Then she noticed him.
Standing a little away from them.
Tall. Still. Terrifyingly calm.
Even in the pouring rain, his presence controlled the entire alley.
The men around him stopped the moment he slightly lifted his hand.
Power radiated from him like a silent command.
Lightning flashed across the sky, illuminating his sharp features for just a moment.
Avyansh Singh Rathore.
Kashvi’s breath caught in her throat.
And then his gaze shifted.
Straight toward her.
Her heart skipped.
Their eyes locked through the rain, and suddenly the world felt too quiet.
Slowly, deliberately, he started walking toward her.
Each step felt heavier than the last.
Kashvi’s feet refused to move.
“You saw something you shouldn’t have,” he said quietly, his voice deep and dangerously calm.
Fear tightened around her chest.
He stopped just a step away from her, towering over her trembling figure.
“And now…”
His dark eyes held something she couldn’t understand—something intense and possessive.
“…you can’t just walk away.”
