This story is for you.
For the girl I almost had,
the one I never really got to love the way I wanted to.
Every whiff of coffee still reminds me of you- of the way you stayed without really staying,of the way I learned how to hold on to something that was never mine.
I told myself I'd forget. That I'd outgrow the feeling, outlast the memories. But somehow, you keep finding your way back- in quiet moments, in empty spaces, in the taste of something bittersweet I can't put down.
Maybe we were never meant to happen. Maybe we were just one of those almosts people write about and never fully understand.
But if there's one thing I know-
it's that a part of me will always choose you, even in silence,
even from a distance, even when I'm no longer someone you think about.
However, I'm thankful for the opportunity to be given a second chance..kaya nga just like the waves returning to the shore, my heart returns to you with no doubt, with no reason, just love Kasi Ikaw nayan eh.
I'm only a journalist-someone meant to tell stories, not live them.
So this... is the closest I'll ever get to loving you out loud.
(Mostly this just consist of Oneshots,what ifs, and imagines that came in my mind..so I figured why not write it into a book solely dedicated to you?)
