Chapter 1: The Weak Sebastian

I am Sebastian Eldrion. I come from the wealthiest and noblest family in the land, but within my household, I am considered useless because of my lack of power. Despite this, my family sent me to the Magic Academy where my brother, Lucas, and my sister, Valencia, are currently enrolled. Both of them remain outstanding students due to their incredible attributes and hard work.

The moment I stepped into the academy, I felt a sudden pressure in my chest. It felt as though everyone was watching me as if they hated me for having no powers. Fortunately, Lucas and Valencia arrived at the right moment. I felt a wave of relief as they approached.

"Where are you headed?" Valencia asked.

"I want to test the magical orb to see if my powers have unlocked," I replied.

My siblings guided me to the Testing Hall, where all the participants were measuring their strength. There, I saw a man who looked bloodthirsty; he had just shattered a magical orb with his bare hand. His aura was so overwhelming that I began to vomit blood from the sheer pressure of his presence.

Noticing this, Lucas asked in concern, "Sebastian, are you okay?"

"I’m fine," I replied. "It’s just... that person has a terrifying will to kill."

"Who?" Lucas asked.

"That guy who shattered the magical orb," I said, pointing.

Valencia intervened. "That is one of Lucas's friends. He is among the elite students who possess divine power."

Lucas then introduced me to his friend, Luke. Luke introduced himself, but he carried the air of a man driven by slaughter. I soon learned why: his family had been killed by the Abyssal Warlord. He was obsessed with revenge and becoming strong enough to protect the love of his life.

Once the introductions were over, the professor called my name. I stepped forward and placed my hand on the orb, releasing what I could of my aura. The magical device detected nothing not even a single spark. Lucas and Valencia stood there in shock, faced with the reality that I truly possessed no power at all.
