After Cato had succeeded in stopping Fluqra Kingdom from expanding, and after Ice taught Wither and Emerald Kingdom who’s boss so they wouldn’t dare harm the Plant kingdom again, Cato made it her responsibility to make sure there were no more evil kingdoms or trouble anywhere else. But since there were no current wars…
Cato spent her days training new warriors alongside Lin, and fighting almost every single day in different kingdoms.
One day, while she was in the warriors’ yard, she noticed a battle between Wither Kingdom and another kingdom she wasn’t sure of. The Wither Army seemed to have greater powers, like The wither smoke, that bursts all over the field causing difficulty to breathe for any non-wither, Or the Wither burst, that shot through the hearts of the other army that had miscellaneous powers but weren’t smart enough to manage using them wisely.
She thought carefully before stepping in, after all Ice had already stopped them from harming her, but she wanted to stop them from harming the world! As soon as the effect of the wither smoke disappeared, She intervened, Using most of her light abilities at once, knowing she has other weapons incase of losing stamina. She used Light kitten Army, and electro charges, and caught the wither army off guard and overwhelmed, as they all targetted here she summoned more light kittens to take the attack instead and in return electrocute the source of damage, She knocked everyone out, then rushed to find King Xavier, only to discover him threatening an innocent ten year old girl named Lema, an innocent dark skinned girl with like hair and yellow eyes and freckles, who also seemed foreign.
Cato felt anger rise inside her and immediately fought him with her weapons until he was forced to retreat. She then took Lema to the palace, healed her wounds, cleaned her up, and cared for her…
“Are you okay..?” Cato asked gently, her anger fading away as she carefully put bandages on Lema’s wrist
“I dont think so Maam..” Lema spoke.. with accent that sounded spanish..
“Don’t worry.. you are safe with me.. where are your parents..? Are they a part of this Army..?”
“Yes.. but I dont know where they went..” said Lema, her voice trembling as she almost cried..
Cato felt empathetic.. she embraced her..
“Dont you worry..”
Cato lifted her and flew back to planttopia, flying slowly to make sure Lema doesn’t feel overwhelmed.. and she returned.
Lema stayed for days with Cata, Cato, and Alice. Cato taught her self defense, Cata taught her art to distract her from fear and sorrows.. and Lema felt happy with them, yet she still missed her family..
Cato remained in contact with the warriors, to make sure there arent any nearby risks anymore, and to get any information about Lema’s parents”
Cato later discovered from Lynx, a new member. that Lema’s parents were both warriors from Luvana kingdom. Her father had been arrested in Wither Kingdom for attacking them, and her mother had escaped to a kingdom in the same continent. King Xavier had been trying to find her to arrest her too. Without hesitation,
Cato decided to find Lema’s mother. She eventually located her in Axolotl Yard…
So she got her things prepared again..
“I dont want anyone to suffer from those heartless withers….. when will they stop being greedy..?” Cato thought, as she got ready, and flew out of planttopia with her blazing electro wings, and arrived in Axolotl Yard..
“I have not been here before..” she thought.
She looked around to see that it was a small kingdom with ponds full of axolotls, simple villages and houses made of wood.. and people who dressed in simple yet delightful clothes. She walked around, almost getting distracted by the fresh air and beauty.
“Wow.. I want to build a house here…” she said then suddenly.
“LEMA’S FAMILY!” She panicked, Smacking her forehead
“Focus Cato!”
Then she decided to walk, to decide to she will even find a woman she had never met before in a whole kingdom..
“How can I find her..?” She kept thinking until she felt something sudden wrap around her and drag her to a forest
“AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!”
It was green vines, and Cato found herself infront of a green haired tan woman with black eyes.
“¡Eres Cato Cuthbert, la princesa guerrera de la Familia Bright!”
“huh..? Princesa..? Familia bright..?” Cato couldnt understand Spanish at all, but the similar words helped her interpret what she said, so she nodded awkwardly.
Since Lema’s mother was Spanish, so communication was difficult, but they sticked together and stayed for a while, resting from the previous war and practicing and planning. Lema helped Cato built the house she planned to build, and made it the way Cato wanted as a way of gratitude, her vines came out doing alll the work of building, wood by wood by wood, and she made a house shaped as a sitting cat! Simple and small and with eyes as windows.
“WOWWW! GRACIAS!” Cato said, especially using the only thing she knew in spanish.
There, they stayed and Cato bought some.. stuff for the plan and put them in her backpack. And Indeed both women still managed to understand each other enough to head to Wither Kingdom and rescue the father of Lema...
Two days later, they flew North to wither kingdom, Cato flying with her blazing electro wings and the mother of Lema beside her with leaf-wings from her powers, on Arrival, Cato used a Wither ring she had taken from a fallen soldier during the war where she found Lema, disguising herself as one of them. She changed her appearance with makeup and different clothes, and wore red eye contacts to hide her well known dark blue eyes. Together, she and Lema’s mother sneaked into the prison and planned the escape!
They waited for lunchtime. Cato put on a police outfit, which she honestly looked really cute in!!.. and pretended she was taking the father for an investigation. She successfully got him out and hid with both parents in a secret passage while planning their escape.
“Shhh! Almost near.. successo!” Whispered Cato, hoping she doesnt get judged for the language!
But unfortunately, a guard noticed something strange. That female officer had just appeared today? And unusually wearing a backpack?!
Something felt wrong. He began searching for her. Cato sensed the danger immediately. She grabbed weapons from her backpack, handing one to each parent, while she held an SMG. She whispered the plan. When they stepped out, they would shoot anyone who tried to stop them. The moment came, chaos erupted,
“SHOOT!!” shouted Cato as guards were terrified, and Cato told the parents to run while she handled the rest, feeling confident,
She Ran Through the cafeteria, shooting walls instead of people, scaring them away without harming them, as they got out of the way, she rushed into the door but.. someone caught her. The guard.
She removed her eye contacts and acted completely innocent. When the guard found her, he hesitated, unsure of what to do. She pretended to surrender.. but the moment they got close, she unleashed a sudden rampage using her light powers: “LIGHT BEAMMEOW!”
and escaped quickly with the parents. She summoned a black dragon Lin had given her for her birthday, using her special whistle, and flew them back to Plant Kingdom.
When they returned, Lema finally reunited with her parents. Her happiness was overwhelming!! Cato felt proud… she had saved a life. Yet deep inside, she was affected. Not just physically from the war, but mentally, after seeing such an innocent child suffer because of a cruel king….
Days later, she made a decision. She would end King Xavier… immediately, if possible.
From that point on, Cato spent most of her time training and going on small missions with Lin. But her intense training began to take a toll. She barely ate, and eventually fell sick in the warriors’ house. Even then, she insisted on training instead of resting, until Lin forced her to stay in bed. Ice even came and convinced her to stop, knowing very well she is stubborn when it comes to fighting..
After a few days, she recovered and returned to training, this time with Leo,
“Can I join you both?!” Asked Leonel
“You are too young Leonel!! This is adult stuff!” Said Leo, barely noticing that theyre only young adults and that Leonel is a capable teenager
“CMON LEO!” Raged Leonel at his older brother
Cato laughed softly at the banter
“Now lets go?” Asked Leo
“Yes! I am ready!” Said Cato, her friendly expression turning rather brave, and they trained, Leonel watched grumpily.
Leo and Cato stood infront of eachother in the wide training ground, Leo–still seeing young Cato who wasnt the strongest– didnt start yet, keeping in mind to go easy.
Cato activated her light powers, but this time they were far stronger than before. The light spheres launched at incredible speed!! overwhelming Leo to the point where his eyes hurt and he couldn’t react properly. “FINE STOP! STOP! YOU’RE GOOD ENOUGH!” he shouted. Cato paused, realizing just how powerful she had become, she did not feel tired from the extreme force aswell…
She believed she was finally ready to defeat King Xavier. But every time she tried, something interrupted. Urgent wars, sudden raids, even a mission to explore an island!
Eventually, Cato decided to let one of the warriors she trained handle responsibilities, and she directly contacted King Xavier, she raised her phone to her cat ear, the golden butterfly on the case shimmering.
“Oh hello, King Xavier!” Cato begun friendly and cheerfully.
“Who is this, how did you get my number?” Said Xavier grumpily, even though it’s obvuously from Lin since he was from wither kingdom before he chose this delightful path.
“Oh well well well! it’s me! Cato Cuthbert” Responded Cato, suppressing all the hatred, and just acting like it is a friend she knew for years
“What do you want…”
“Meet me in the warriors’ yard. I declare war HAHAHAHA!” She laughed confidently.
“You will regret this, Princess Cato.”
The next day, the battle began…
Cato and Xavier faced each other alone in the field. No armies, no warriors…
