Two thousand years ago, Eros met Psyche. Against terrible odds, romance bloomed, and their love became legend. Two thousand years later, they've yet to find their happy ending. When it looked like Aphrodite would lose her son, she placed a curse on Psyche. To break it, Psyche must make it through three tasks. If she doesn't, she dies before her twenty-fifth birthday and is forced to reincarnate years later. In each lifetime, Eros finds Psyche, but he never keeps her for long. Fearful his love's spirit will spend eternity without rest, Eros starts to lose hope. Just when he reaches his breaking point, he discovers that he can end the curse. To beat his mother, the unthinkable must happen. Eros must become mortal. As he discovers this, a new cycle of his mother's curse begins. This time not only does Eros have to deal with his waning godhood, but he must also compete with another for Psyche's love. Making it worse, Psyche can't discover Eros' identity before he's mortal, or she'll suffer a fate worse than Tartarus could devise. One way or another, in fourteen days, Aphrodite will lose. Can Eros hold onto his sanity while he does what no god has done before him? Can he keep Psyche safe while also stealing her heart? Will they find eternal happiness, or will they be torn apart for good?
