I felt the rush of the bond opening as Harold Roberts lit the pyre after proclaiming my guilt. For a moment, I felt each of them, even Nate - his disbelief was palpable- but I spoke, nonetheless.
I will never regret loving any of you. I am only sorry our time was so brief. Please forgive Nate; this isn’t his fault, it’s Kvia’s. Hold on to each other. I love you. I choked as the smoke stole my breath. In a cruel twist, Kvia loosened her spell enough for me to struggle and scream as my body burned. I’m not sure if the flames or the smoke took my life, but I knew it was gone, and all I felt was peace.
