Vacation Cancelled Successfully
Summer holidays finally arrive.
Students smiling.
Parents happy.
Beds excited.
Life feels peaceful.
Then suddenly…
College sends message.
“Special classes from Monday. Attendance compulsory.”
At that moment,
Entire student community experiences
collective heartbreak.
Summer vacation instantly changes into
summer suffering.
Morning 7 AM.
Sun already angry.
You wake up sweating
before even brushing teeth.
Even weather says:
“Stay inside.”
But college says:
“Come fast.”
You travel to college
under sunlight so strong
even your shadow gives up.
By the time you reach class,
You are no longer student.
You are half human, half roasted potato.
Classroom atmosphere?
Fan rotating emotionally.
Not effectively.
One fan making sound like helicopter.
Another fan simply existing for decoration.
Teacher enters happily.
Students look like
disaster survivors.
Teacher says:
“Why is everyone dull?”
Ma’am…Because we are melting.
Worst pain?
Seeing school kids enjoying holidays while you carry assignment files like unpaid office worker.
And somehow…Summer classes always start exactly when sleep becomes sweetest. Suddenly waking up early feels like personal attack.
Friend messages: “Bro coming ah?”
You reply: “Attendance irundha varuven.”
True college friendship.
Some students come only for attendance. The moment attendance ends…Disappear.
Even FBI can't find them.
Lunch break arrives.
Canteen crowded.
Everyone buying cold drinks like survival medicine.
One sip of cool water suddenly feels like greatest achievement in life.
By afternoon, Classroom becomes oven.
Students no longer studying.
Only surviving.
Even notebooks look tired.
And finally…
After suffering in heat, carrying bags, listening to lectures, and questioning life choices…
You understand one painful truth:
Summer vacation exists only in childhood.
College removed that feature permanently.
In college, summer holidays are just regular classes…with extra sweating
