Chapter 1: Introduction
RAMPAGE AMIKINGS
Five hundred years ago...
The world had already fallen.
The cities that had once been filled with millions of people were nothing more than ruins. Buildings stood broken and shattered, roads were buried beneath rubble, and the sky itself seemed to carry the weight of what had happened.
High above the destroyed city, a lone figure floated through the air.
Mega Selko.
He looked down at the world beneath him.
Humanity was gone.
He had wiped out almost the entire human race with his own powers, leaving the once-living world in complete destruction.
For a moment, Mega Selko simply remained there in the sky, staring down at the ruins.
Then—
Scene Shift.
Present Day — School
The classroom was filled with students, but one particular man stood at the front of the room with absolute confidence.
Their History teacher.
A completely bald man.
And, for reasons known only to himself, he wore a wig.
A rather suspicious-looking wig.
He adjusted it proudly before turning toward the class.
“Alright, students!” he announced. “Today we are going to study about Rampage and Amikings, my hair's oath!”
The classroom remained quiet.
The teacher nodded seriously, as if he had just delivered the most important statement in history.
Meanwhile, Mahin sat in his place, already looking bored.
He glanced toward the teacher's wig.
This old man is wearing that wig again...
Mahin sighed internally.
I seriously have no idea where this guy keeps getting so many wigs from.
The teacher cleared his throat.
“Now, my hair's oath, pay attention. This is an important part of history.”
He turned toward the board.
And began.

The History of Rampage and Amikings
Five hundred years ago, Mega Selko destroyed humanity.
But he did not leave the world completely empty.
Instead, he created two new forms of life.
The first was known as Rampage.
Rampage had a body structure similar to that of a human, but their appearance was far from normal.
Their bodies were black and glitchy, almost as though something had gone wrong with reality itself.
More importantly, Rampage possessed incredible physical powers.
They could deliver super punches, move with lightning speed, perform super jumps, and possess other extraordinary physical abilities.
But there was a reason Mega Selko had designed them to look human.
Mega Selko had once had a family.
His family had been human.
And they had all died.
So, even after humanity had disappeared, Mega Selko wanted something that would remind him of the species—and the family—he had lost.
That was why Rampage were created with a human-like appearance.
But Mega Selko also believed that humans were naturally aggressive.
So he gave Rampage an aggressive nature as well.
Then came the second creation.
Amikings.
Unlike Rampage, Amikings were small, cute, fluffy creatures.
They came in many different forms.
Some looked like tiny dinosaurs.
Some resembled rabbits.
Others looked like strange combinations of rabbits and cats.
And they possessed unusual chemical or supernatural powers.
Some Amikings could control fire.
Others could control ice.
Some could manipulate wind.
Their abilities varied greatly depending on the type of Amiking.
But their personalities were very different from Rampage.
Amikings were generally peaceful by nature.
They did not seek destruction or unnecessary conflict.
For some time, both creations existed in the same world.
But eventually...
Trouble began.
Years passed, and wherever Rampage appeared, conflict seemed to follow.
Rampage and Amikings began fighting.
Then more fights happened.
And more.
Eventually, wherever one looked, there seemed to be another conflict between the two species.
And the main reason behind those conflicts?
Rampage.
Mega Selko eventually became furious.
He had created both species, but now they were constantly fighting each other.
So he decided to put an end to it.
Mega Selko sent all of the Amikings into space.
Then he took the Rampage and buried them deep beneath the Earth.
And after that...
According to what people later claimed...
Mega Selko killed himself.
Why?
Nobody knew.
Why would the creator of two new forms of life simply end his own existence?
That question remained a mystery.
A mystery whose true answer would only be discovered much later.
But there was another problem.
The Rampage had not remained buried forever.
Some of them managed to escape from beneath the Earth using their incredible physical powers.
They returned to the surface.
And that was the reason Rampage could still occasionally be seen in the real world even after hundreds of years.
But there was one strange detail.
Whenever a Rampage appeared...
The surrounding area would begin to turn slightly red.
As if the presence of the Rampage itself was affecting the environment.
The final words of the history lecture faded away.
The teacher closed his book.
“That’s all for today, my hair’s oath.”
He gave the class one final look before walking out of the room, his suspicious wig still sitting proudly on his completely bald head.
The moment he disappeared through the door, the classroom atmosphere changed.
Mahin remained in his seat, staring blankly ahead.
He had been bored for practically the entire lecture.
He leaned back slightly and sighed.
Why the hell didn’t that idiot Asura come today?
He glanced toward the empty place where Asura usually sat.
I’ve been bored out of my mind throughout the entire class.
Mahin rested his head against his hand.
Seriously... today had to be the day he stayed absent.
Meanwhile, a few seats away, Misaki Nakamura had barely paid attention to the lesson at all.
Her eyes had been on Mahin.
The entire lecture.
She quietly watched him from her seat, completely absorbed in him.
She liked Mahin.
A lot.
Maybe a little too much.
She nervously played with her fingers while watching him.
What if my friends tell him that I like him?
Her imagination immediately began running wild.
Misaki’s Imagination
She imagined herself standing in front of Mahin, nervously confessing her feelings.
Mahin stared at her for a moment.
Then suddenly—
“Hahaha! This girl loves me! LOL! Hahahaha!”
Misaki's imaginary face went completely blank.
...What?
Her heart practically shattered.
The imaginary scene disappeared.
A second scenario appeared.
This time, she confessed again.
Mahin looked at her with a serious expression.
“I’m sorry, but I don’t feel the same way.”
Misaki froze.
Then Mahin continued.
“Please... don’t talk to me anymore.”
Her imaginary heart shattered into pieces.
Misaki immediately snapped back to reality.
Her face felt warm.
No! Why am I imagining the worst possible outcomes?!
She quickly looked away from Mahin.
But after a few seconds, her eyes slowly wandered back toward him.
She couldn't help it.
And while Misaki was busy watching Mahin, another student had a completely different objective.
Kento.
Kento sat around, casually looking for an excuse.
Not to study.
Not to go home.
Not even to talk to anyone.
He was searching for the perfect opportunity to bother his second monkey.
Mahin.
Kento looked around the classroom.
His usual target wasn't there.
A small grin appeared on his face.
My first monkey didn't come today.
His eyes slowly shifted toward Mahin.
So I guess I'll have to corner my second monkey today.
He leaned back in his chair, already thinking of some excuse to bother him.
Mahin suddenly glanced around.
For some reason, he felt like someone was watching him.
He narrowed his eyes.
“...Why do I feel like someone is planning something?”
Kento immediately looked away.
Mahin shrugged.
“Whatever.”
After School
The final bell rang.
Students began leaving the school, talking among themselves as they headed home.
Mahin eventually made his way back to his house.
The journey was completely normal.
Nothing seemed unusual.
Until he opened the door.
He stepped inside.
And stopped.
Something felt...
wrong.
The atmosphere inside the house had changed.
The surroundings seemed to carry a faint reddish tint.
Mahin slowly looked around.
His expression changed.
A memory suddenly flashed through his mind.
The history lecture.
The teacher’s explanation.
"Whenever a Rampage appeared, the surrounding area became slightly red. My hair's oath"
Mahin's heart sank.
“No...”
He immediately turned toward the door.
His first instinct was to leave.
But then he stopped.
His parents.
Mom and Dad...
They might still be inside.
Mahin couldn't simply run away.
He swallowed his fear and began searching.
“Mom?”
No answer.
“Dad?”
Silence.
He checked one room.
Nothing.
Then another.
Nothing.
He searched everywhere he could think of.
The rooms.
The corners.
Every place where they could possibly be.
But they were nowhere.
“Mom...?”
His voice became quieter.
“Dad...?”
Nothing.
His breathing became heavier.
His hope slowly disappeared.
Eventually, Mahin couldn't take it anymore.
He moved into one corner of the room, pulled his knees toward himself, wrapped his arms around them, and sat there.
His head lowered.
Tears began falling.
He had no idea where his parents were.
He didn't know what had happened.
And he was scared.
Then—
CRASH!
A glass fell somewhere in the kitchen.
Mahin's head immediately lifted.
His eyes widened.
“Mom...?”
Or maybe Dad.
For the first time since entering the house, a small spark of hope returned.
Mahin quickly stood up and rushed toward the kitchen.
“Mom?”
He reached the doorway.
And froze.
There was someone standing inside.
Not his mother.
Not his father.
A Rampage.
Mahin's entire body went stiff.
His fear took over.
“AHHH—!”
The moment his scream escaped his mouth—
The Rampage moved.
It suddenly lunged toward him.
And attacked.
