Summary

The island's only rule: you may want anything, but you must be seen wanting it. Villa Mirari sits on a black-sand atoll where the very rich trade desire the way other people trade stock. The black card grants its holder the power to choreograph the night; consent is the only currency. Isla Vance arrived rehearsing refusal. Dane Calder arrived three weeks ago and still has not spent his vote. Under a total lunar eclipse, the Island asks them the same question it asks everyone: what is your price, and will you be seen saying yes?
