The Vampire Bride

Summary

Two years ago, Xania Robinson found out she was the Vampire Bride, the sacrifice to three vampire men and the only thing standing in the way of vampires wreaking havoc on the world. Against all odds, she fell in love with all three. The fantasy was quickly ripped away for reality. Vampires couldn't love. She believed they were pretending to get the throne, that they'd get rid of her when she was no longer useful, and she ran at the first chance she got. But now, she has to go back and finish this. And make sure this time, she doesn't fall for their lies.

Welcome

HEY

Okay, so I'm from Wattpad and recently lobotomized itself, so we upgrading 😃

Technically, this book is part two of planned duology, but the first book kinda sucks, so like... don't bother. I got a complete summary written out for ya

Xania Robinson, a seventeen-year-old girl with an interest in music, travels across the country to be part of a host family to go to the private school of her dreams. Uh oh—they’re all vampires, and it was all a cover to get her to New York (her parents were forced into sending her off, knew about it since she was a child). Xania is something called a Vampire Bride, AKA a human sacrifice to the future Vampire King. The Vampire King makes all the laws regarding vampires, and gives them something called Absolute Authority—making other vampires submit to their will even when they’re not around. Xania, as the Vampire Bride, gets to choose who out of those eligible (Eligible = has the King’s Title, which is basically an aura/soul thing). These boys are Calvin, Henry, and Warren Atham and later Alexios Varelas, who has the King’s Title but due to a murder of a past Vampire Bride by his ancestor, is sworn off from being chosen as King for the foreseeable future. Xania falls in love with the Atham boys and grows an virtually unexplored attraction with Alexios.

Vampire Lore:

- Have no aversion to sunlight and etc.- All can teleport.

- Weak to Larkspur plant.

- Purebloods (born as a vampire) have extra powers.

- Blood is used as fuel in their bodies. Without it, they will get a little antsy (crack addict tingz)

- Saliva can heal (literally healing kisses).

- Only certain Purebloods can Turn humans (like an extra set of power on top of their power). Warren can do this. Henry and Calvin cannot.

- Incorrectly Turned humans become strigoi, and strigoi eat vampires and humans alike. They are constantly hungry, but never satiated. Make croaking noises and shrill screams. Look pale, monstrous, and nightmarish. They’re the biggest issue- All vampires (pureblood included) are completely leashed by laws put in place by Vampire King who uses Absolute Authority.

- They are not supposed to drink out of Vampire Territory (which has a few minimal in different countries/states). Humans are basically prey inside those areas.

- Hybrids are possible but rare, and usually exterminated. They often exhibit instability in both their power and control, making them an uncontrollable threat.

- Blood Fixes (derogatory) are humans that are Marked (leave a bite mark) by a specific vampire that puts them under a vampire’s protection. Usually predatory, sometimes romantic. Allows vampire to feel the emotions of the person they marked. Can be completed full circle when a human marks a vampire back (Xania accidentally did this to Calvin), but is heavily frowned upon in vampy society and considered a weakness to vampires.

(Sorry, brief intermission)

In the Plot of The Atham Manor: Strigoi (feral, monstrous vampire-monsters that are humans who haven’t been Turned correctly), have been popping up all over New York, growing more frequent and disastrous. Throughout the book, the Athams have been trying to narrow down which Pureblood vampire is making these strigoi. During this time, they’ve also been trying to work out their poly relationship, and it’s had it’s ups and downs because there is too many secrets in the Atham Manor, INCLUDNG:

Calvin’s got the approval and support of the Atham parents, does most of the work, but has a habit of neglecting himself. His heart seems to skip in his chest, and he has moments of weakness where he is forced to sleep (not normal for vampires) as well as gets headaches and moments of weakness. He was very openly caring and kind to Xania, having an inability to say no to her. She told him when she left that she didn’t believe he could love, let alone love her.

Henry’s a prodigy, was saved by the Atham’s after his pregnant, crazy mother kidnapped him during infancy, and tried to kill him and herself. He has no verbal desire to be the King, despite being eligible for it. Treats Xania in a push and pull, both wanting her, and disliking her for wanting her. Despite his affection for her, he still managed to keep pushing her away until she finally left, breaking her promise to stay with him.

Warren’s got the most obvious issues, considered a suspected hereditary trait of lunacy he shares with his mother. He has moments of completely feral, violent behavior (burned Xania, drank too much from her, bit her violently where she is now scared) but does not remember them or other events in his life. Has been once found hanging from a ceiling in one of the rooms of the manor, tortured with a Larkspur-coated knife, and also has no memory in of this, despite evidence of it clearly not being the first time. Besides this, he had a very intense and passionate relationship with Xania. After a final attack, she left him without looking back.

Alexios Atham was not involved in their relationship, but he and Xania kissed and done some sexual acts (he ate her out/they’ve made out). He’s been the most honest and upfront about everything since the beginning and does his best to stay away. Can’t seem to do that for long though.

After a tirade of bad situations—finding out that the Athams lied about a lot in an attempt to ‘protect her feelings’, her friend and bodyguard Linus dying, her memories being scrambled, being convinced the Athams don’t love her, her best friend Jenn being turned into a strigoi, and Warren attacking her again and nearly killing her—Xania reached her breaking point. She decided to take Adaline and Robert’s offer to go home and fix her parent’s memories rather than stay at the Manor. In exchange, during the Choosing Ceremony, she’ll choose Calvin to be King.

(ALMOST DONE I SWEAR💀💀💀)

Other Characters and quick rundowns:

Adaline Atham: Atham Mom.

Robert Atham: Atham Dad.

Miriam Atham: Elder sister, younger twin, fashion girl, nice to Xania.

Cassandra Atham: Eldest sister, older twin, not very nice to Xania. Not around much.

Xania’s Best Friends:

- Jennifer Richter (Jenn): Xania’s first friend, was Marked by a man named William. Got turned into a strigoi, and William was outed as a Pureblood Vampire. He is now the main suspect of the strigoi case, and Jennifer is currently being kept in the manor catacombs because Xania let her go.

- Anika Kellerman: Other friend. Nearly bit Xania on their first meeting. Found out as a werewolf-vampire hybrid who’d been on the run and is one of the oldest hybrids known alive. Ultimately decided by the Kiven to keep Anika alive and test whether a hybrid can actually live in society. Believes Umbra is her mate.

They all wear a best friend necklace with their initials engraved in them, and that’s how Xania figured out the strigoi was Jenn. It was choking her mutated form.

Kiven (King’s Punishers)

- Umbra (Malcolm): Warren’s favorite and oldest friend, most powerful, basically a shadow daddy. Can control shadows. Was the tie-breaker for letting Xania live. (yes, I changed his name cuz someone said Malcolm was better a long time ago and I agree)

- Avel Varelas: Alex’s older brother. Can manipulate bones. Voted for Xania living.

- Arthur: Can manipulate senses. Voted against letting Xania live. Was sent to go with Xania and report back to the boys what Adaline said during the dinner (where Xania was convinced vampires cannot physically love another person).

Oh—also, Xania was Marked by Calvin on her right wrist, Henry on the right side of her neck (right above her collarbone), Warren on the inside of her left thigh (man slut).

Now you’re all caught up, yay! (this has been so much work omg)

Okay! So.... the continuity errors in my first book were just... god no. If you’re from TAM and you love TAM, thank you! 😊 If you’re new here, feel free to read it if you want (remember i started it when i was sixteen 💀),but only the things from the recap are going to be canon going forward.

if you read something and go... “um... that’s not how it happened in the first book” or “that man is a completely different ethnicity”—it’s now a mandela effect and we’re continuing on. it shouldn’t be too bad tho because it’s been like three years since i wrote the last chapter

Okay, that’s it, byeeeee
