SINFUL OBSESSION

Naomi's POV

Everywhere was silent as hell......

Over 20 of us were in the kitchen busy working, yet none of us were talking.

We were on a time crunch and we all had to prepare dinner before 7 pm. We were already late as it is so I just hoped we are able to meet up.....

We were still busy working when we were suddenly ambushed by Sister Mary Margaret who rushed in like someone being chased by a dog. She was panting heavily and practically wheezing through her nose. Everyone stopped what they were doing to look at her to make sure she was alright.

"Are you okay?" Sister Ruth asked softly, rushing towards her.

"Cough.... cough.....yh.....yh, I'm fine, I just need to catch my breath" she said bending over her knees to put herself together.

"What's wrong, what happened?........why were you running like that?" Sister Jesse asked worriedly also rushing towards her.

"Everything is fine don't worry "Sister Margaret reassured laughing "besides which of the questions do you expect me to answer first" she teased

"Everything!!!!" Sister Jesse said frowning at her behaviour.

"Fine...fine!!!" She said with a smile "you guys should guess what happened?"she asked excitedly practically hopping from one foot to the other.

"Noooooo"we all groaned annoyedly and turned around.

Seriously!

I couldn't believe we fell for it again, we should have seen it coming....

Sister Mary Margaret was literally the biggest gossip in the Abbey and we should have known better than to pay her any attention when she ran inside.

If ever anyone needed to know anything about anyone, Sister Mary Margaret was the right person to see. She was soo shameless about it that even the kids in the Abbey nicknamed her 'Gossip Maggie'

"Seriously guys..... this is the best one yet"

"We are not interested Maggie" Sister Ruth said her voice hard. Her anger rolling off her in waves.

"You can't say that!!!"Sister Margaret argued indignantly"you don't speak for everyone"

"Well then we're not interested" everyone chorused annoyed at her persistence......

"Seriously guys, you're really gonna want to hear this one. Please!!!!.I promise you, you'll all like it....." She begged pouting and putting her hands together.

"Fine!!!" We all shouted "get it over with"

"Yay" she squealed and I mentally groaned, how could someone be this shameless??? I asked myself

"Alright you guys...... guess what"

Silence...........

Excruciatingly painful silence......

I smirked

Nobody wanted to play the guessing game again.

Not at all!!

I for one wasn't interested

"Okay so as you all know" she continued and I internally groaned.

"I'm incharge of picking the vegetables today, right...."she smiled "well...as I was in the garden picking up the vegetables I suddenly heard a loud screeching sound that sounded a lot like our gate whenever it was being opened so being the curious person that I am I quickly went on to go investigate what was going on.

I ran towards the gate and hid behind a building where I was totally hidden but could get a perfect view of the gate.....When I checked I saw Mother Lucy standing in front of the gate and waiting expectantly as the gate was being opened and you guys won't believe what happened next" she said pausing for dramatic effect....

"What???"everyone practically snapped unable to take the suspense.

You might be wondering why we were all impatient.

Well firstly the reason for our impatience was that the gate was hardly if ever opened. The only time it was opened was if a priest was visiting or we needed to run an errand....

Secondly for Mother Lucy to stand there and wait for someone that means the person was important. Mother Lucy only personally waits outside to greet someone if the person was very important so yes everyone was curious about the story .

Sister Margaret rolled her eyes at our tone but continued anyways"Well.....a shiny black Sedan BMW series 5 rolled up the driveway and into the Abbey!!!! and...."

"What???"everybody exclaimed cutting her off, including me

Well this was very surprising,

Who could be visiting?

Who could be driving a Sedan?

And how the hell did Mother Lucy know the person?

So many questions bubbled inside my head......

I was totally curious and absorbed which was totally unlike me, I hardly ever cared about what Sister Margaret had to say........so to say this was surprising was an understatement.

"Yes!!! I was also surprised" she continued "the most interesting part of it was that when the car parked a very handsome young man walked out accompanied by a very pretty lady, he was very tall, dashing and very unrecognisable" she continued praising him and I couldn't help but roll my eyes, need I remind her she was a nun....

"So I was very confused cos I thought I would know the person but I didn't." She continued "It wasn't until Mother Lucy shouted Nick that I knew that it was Nick.

Nick is back guys!!!!"

Clack! Clack! Clack!

Everyone turned to look at me and I realised that I had dropped the plate I was washing.

Not even thinking twice I dashed out of the kitchen and ran as fast as my habit could let me. I only had one place in mind and that was Mother Lucy's office.

I didn't mind that I was pushing people as I was running or the fact that I was stumbling every now and then because of my very long habit, I just kept going...... going....and going.

Finally, after what felt like 30 mins which was really infact only 5, I finally arrived at Mother Lucy's office. Without even thinking it through or bothering to knock for courtesy I barged inside, my eyes only looking for one person and finally after what felt like ages my eyes landed on a pair of luminescent green eyes that I could recognise anywhere and I felt my heart freeze with all the air leaving my lungs.....

"What in the world...." I distinctly heard Mother Lucy say but I didn't care one bit. All I was focused on was the man in front of me

"NICK?"I whispered.....
