Prologue
Today, I turned nineteen.
But there was no big celebration. No laughter filled the house. Instead, I sat quietly in the corner of my dark room, hugging my knees as the night surrounded me.
In my hands was an old piece of paper.
A letter.
His last letter.
It was written six years ago.
The paper was old and fragile under my fingers. But it carried so many memories—memories I still couldn't let go of.
Even after all these years, I still missed him more than I could ever explain.
Our world was divided into three different parts.
To the West was the Western County—a land filled with tall buildings, advanced technology, and endless progress. People there lived by ambition and strict rules. It was a place where old beliefs and traditions were slowly disappearing.
To the East was the Eastern County.
Life there was quieter and more peaceful. It did not have the advanced technology of the West, but it had something else—stability, rich traditions, and a peaceful way of life.
And between them was the Central County—the place where the two worlds met.
It was also home to the Central Military Academy, the strongest military academy in the world. It trained the people who would one day become the leaders and protectors of our world.
Whenever I close my eyes and hold that old letter against my chest, something strange happens.
Time seems to move backward.
And I find myself going back to that day...
The day when everything fell apart.
Six years ago...
