Chapter 1Real-Life Girls? No Thanks, I Prefer 2D
The bustling and neon-lit streets of Shibuya were packed with people. Amidst the rush, a guy was walking down the pavement, his eyes glued entirely to his smartphone screen, completely oblivious to the world around him.
Jin muttered under his breath, talking to himself:
"My name is Jin. I'm just a normal high school student. And before you assume anything—no, I am not gay. I just have zero, absolutely zero interest in the girls of this 3D world."
Strolling past the crowd, Jin finally reached his college. The classroom was already loud, filled with chaotic chatter. He walked quietly to his usual desk at the back and dropped into his chair, his phone still glowing with a crisp wallpaper of his absolute favorite anime waifu.
Just then, his best friend slammed his notebook shut, turned around, and stared at him with an expression of pure disbelief.
"Hey, Jin! Are you out of your freaking mind or what? The prettiest girl in college literally walked up to you and asked you out on a date... and you straight-up rejected her?! You've seriously lost it, man!"
Before Jin could even reply, another friend leaning from the next desk chimed in, laughing maliciously:
"Bro, I'm telling you, he's secretly into guys! We should probably stay away from him before he tries to hit on us."
Jin slammed his phone onto the desk with a loud thud, glaring daggers at both of them.
"Will you idiots shut up?! I am NOT gay, alright? I just don't care about these real-life girls, period."
The first friend chuckled, shaking his head in pity:
"Oh, I get it... So you're still wasting your brain cells obsessing over that 2D anime girl, huh? Wake up to reality, bro! She lives behind a screen. She's never going to look at you. You're gonna die a virgin, seriously!"
Jin crossed his arms, leaning back in his chair with a smug, unbothered smirk. He tapped his phone screen, showing the glowing picture of the anime girl to his friends.
"Die a virgin? Please. You guys don't understand true art or loyalty. One day, when you're dealing with real-world girlfriend drama, I'll be living my best life... assuming I somehow find a way to break through that screen."
His friends burst out laughing, thinking it was just another one of his usual delusional jokes. Little did they know, Jin’s obsession wasn't just a phase—it was a ticking time bomb.
