Acerca de C. Angélique
Born in 1981 in the Republic of China, to a French family, I grew up traveling the world. I grew up with an ever-shifting perspective of the world that stayed with me as we moved across the Globe, before settling in Canada during my teenage years.
By the time I was fifteen, I had walked alongside Buddhist monks, spoken with headhunters, and witnessed both the joy and resilience of many people. These experiences left a deep mark, teaching me that happiness and dignity often flourish far from privilege.
Yet in the midst of hardship, I also encountered moments of pure love and generosity from strangers.
I love and play music, read sci-fi and fantasy, and wield words as both weapon and shield through poetry and stories. I’ve dabbled in D&D and will never say no to a video game when time allows. I love cats and hedgehogs, and I’m happiest walking barefoot in the grass with a tree or flower nearby. My mom, son, and husband keep me grounded, while my dad will always be with me now that he has returned to the source. I will never turn down a chai latte, and with a handful of ingredients I’ll cook up a storm. I giggle more than I frown, snort when I laugh too hard, and always listen when people share their stories with me.
