Welcome to the dark, chilling world of D'IO.I am an Italian author, and I am currently translating my manuscript chapter by chapter into English, hoping that this adaptation honors the visceral, gritty atmosphere of the original story.As for the title, "D'IO" holds the very essence of the entire narrative: in italian "Dio" means God, but that exact apostrophe creates a deliberate division, cutting right between the divine and the human being. At the same time, read as a whole, it merges with the Italian word for self, "io" (I).
