Disappointing Ending

An epilogue was given, but it doesn’t seem like the writer understands what one is for. It’s not there simply to show that the characters had children. It gives you the opportunity to tie up all the loose ends and provide a resolution for any sub plots. The writer completely neglected to mention anything more about April’s biological father. What happened to him? I’m assuming that after 20 years the man died.

This lackluster epilogue only highlighted the fact that the writer dropped the ball on character development. April’s childhood should have had a much deeper impact on the story. Especially the part where the mate bond was concerned.

The writer seemed to thrive on these two things being missing because the conflict between Javier and Stefaan was so one sided. No explanation of what made Stefaan so untrustworthy and what of his broken heart? Surely that wasn’t from Stella. They barely knew each other. His past could’ve played a more prominent role as well.

Truthfully, I only finished this book to round out the series. I suppose I will simply have to imagine for myself what happened to actually fully end the book.

A different type of werewolf book.

My big complaint about this book is that the writer contradicts the plot they wrote in the first book of the series. Of course, if you never read that book it would be fine, but I did.

Overall, it’s a good book for readers who like werewolf stories to whet their appetite. The writer incorporates a lot of different mythologies to keep everyone interested.
