Through the story of Big Bad Bjorn, PostScriptRegrets explores just what it may mean to love and be loved by a psychopath, and his story forces us to confront important questions about what it means to have a loving and healthy relationship and how the meaning of love is varied and individualistic. All of Mal’s books invite us to explore unique relationships, most of which are kinky, dynamic, intense, and emotional, yet none of them dive quite as deeply as the bond between Bjorn and Santiago. This is a story that is beautifully crafted, deeply evoking, and simultaneously filled with fun, humor, and steamy sex in that certain, clever way I have come to expect from all of Mal’s work. It is a story I think everyone should read. Most importantly, Big Bad Bjorn is a demonstration of a romantic theme that I think every single one of us needs. There is someone out there for everyone.
