An awesome book with double awesome leads
"I fell in love with how selfless, caring & loving Don and Carson were with each other. They both complimented each other so well, always being there for each other without complaints or formalities that it always melted my heart. The author wrote them so beautifully that my heart skipped a beat almost in every chapter after they began liking each other openly (after chs 50-60). I also loved that all the characters were LGBTQ supporters and no one cared about the next person's sexual orientation, it was highly refreshing. I would definitely recommend this book to everyone who loves BL and LGBTQ books, however long this may feel in the beginning, every page was worth it. 05:45 pm Thursday 14 May 2026"

Sono italiana, perciò non posso apprezzare a fondo lo stile e la correttezza dal punto di vista tecnico, anche se il traduttore fa un buon lavoro e la narrazione scorre sempre fluida e piacevole. Sono pugliese, e i riferimenti alla mia terra mi hanno riempito di orgoglio, io che mangio regolarmente ricci di mare e braciole... Mi hanno fatto un piacere enorme i richiami a Star wars al Signore degli anelli e a Cluedo (credo che sia la prima volta per me sentire qualcuno parlarne). Non è una semplice storia d'amore. Parla di famiglia, di amicizia, di legami forti che tengono in piedi le persone quando la burrasca si fa forte Ma non sono solo questi gli aspetti che mi fanno amare questo libro. Principalmente è uno, e si chiama Don Whittaker. Mi sono innamorata follemente di quest' uomo. Un personaggio difficile, ambizioso, "terribile", pragmatico, giusto, intelligente, onesto. Un gioiello prezioso modellato negli anni dalle intemperie che la vita gli ha riservato. Le sue sofferenze però non lo hanno sopraffatto, lui sapeva che sarebbe potuto essere diverso e ha saputo cogliere subito l' occasione giusta, quando Dylan ha bussato alla sua porta. Accogliere un figlio sconosciuto è significato aprire il suo cuore, creando uno spiraglio dove un magnifico cawboy sexy, dolce e forte si è infilato di prepotenza, conquistandolo. Così Don si è sciolto, abbandonandosi alla meritata felicità. Grazie, dal profondo del cuore, per questa perla. "

Amazing Read
"I read the first 3 books about Alex and Christian and thought they were a good read, but in comparison to this story they feel more like plot notes. By far one of my favourite stories I’ve read in a long time. There’s a few spelling and grammatical errors through but who am I to pass judgement, I can’t write a shopping list without spell check. A great story so far, you should be proud of your work."

This book is so heartwarming with Don being such a perfect father and Carson being like a second father to Dylan too. I have been reading this whole series from the start of the ceo trilogy and Derek's book, and now this and they have been the best bl books I might have even read. The author has written all her books to perfection, and I'm literally obsessed with all the characters she writes. "
