"I’m genuinely so happy I found this story. It was incredibly well written and had so much depth to it. The plot had a lot going on without ever feeling messy, and the characters felt so real and layered. You could tell a lot of care went into building them and their development throughout the story was so amazing to watch. I ended up loving both Lochlan and Palmer, but Lochlan completely stole my heart. He’s easily one of the sweetest, most charming book boyfriends I’ve read in a long time. If anyone’s debating whether to read this book, seriously, just pick it up. It’s one of those stories that deserves way more attention because it’s truly such a gem on Inkitt."

"I found a hidden gem here on Inkitt! I’m so happy this story showed up on my “Discover” feed! “Icing the Biscuit” is the story of Palmer and Lochlan, a grumpy introverted baker and a playboy hockey player, complete polar opposites who can’t stand each other but were forced to get along as the maid of honor and best man in their best friends’ wedding. This isn’t just your typical romance book, this story has substance with rich plot points. The characters are very well written, both with complex personalities and even more complex pasts, and a layered storytelling that shows a detailed turn of events that lead to their character development and path to a happily ever after. Just two chapters in when I first started reading this story, and I immediately fell in love with the author’s writing! Lochlan and Palmer are my favorite book couple now! And I swear, Lochlan will give the other popular book boyfriends a run for their money! This is honestly one of the best stories I have read in a long while, and I cannot wait to read the other stories from this Author! Highly recommended! 💕💕"

"Love this story and all of Catherine's books as well. Palmer, true to form, takes awhile to warm up to, not your typical easy going FMC. But her story and growth is one to stick with even when she is pretty insufferable. Though we come to find out hiw and why, and of course with Lochlan's love and support, she becomes the woman she was always meant to be."
