"An amazing series about survival on a foreign planet and the strong inner battles it takes. ✨️ One of my favourite cliffhangers, right from the very first chapters, was the first impression of August, which I'm glad was just a tease to prove me wrong. From the "Get on the bed" line, which was exactly the opposite of his character as the perfect, stubborn gentleman that made me fall harder for him with each chapter, the rising tension with their slow-burn romance was amazingly right! From complete shut-down for inappropriate touches and behaviour (considering their small cubic home with one bed and no privacy), to giving in to her pleas to satisfy that growing ache between her thighs, then worshipping her just perfectly (both with perpetual tenderness and roughness), his vibes were worth melting for. 🫠✨️ I enjoyed all of him, but the moment with soybeans and trying to create the ingredients for her strawberry ice cream... I felt the love so strongly that I couldn't hold back my happy tears for this indescribable golden feeling. 💖 It's impossibly sweet, yet torturous, how this man cares so much for her. Yet, he lives with the guilt that he's not good enough for her (mainly because of the age gap, the idea of using her body for survival, thinking that Calla doesn't have a better alternative, and the thought that Providence is safer than their home). His restraint from her, and those "small, frustrating, painful steps" that we endure until he accepted that they belonged together (in all the ways, not just for lust), it's punishing for them and for us, but it's the right kind of punishment, making it out as they should, in the end. August's "I know" reply to Calla's "I love you" was clearly a bad omen, and the whole thing shattered me completely. 😭😭😭 Of course we love August, but we should take a moment also to appreciate all the other girls' partners who genuinely care for them. How Ryan wouldn't leave Piper's side when she got sick from the unfiltered water, or how Owen confronted Franklin for making an ugly scene to Larissa. Overall, it's crazy what people can do in desperate times, but I'm so relieved that hope for decency didn't falter completely. Some good men keep our hopes up, while there are creepy guys we wish the most painful deaths on. There is leadership, and there is the perfect action that keeps the suspense up. In the end, all the infuriating behaviour of "I'll keep my hands to myself" was definitely worth it, with building the character of an extraordinary man, an incredible woman, a real romance through amazing spice and a fantastic HEA. I'm on the second book, hoping that more of this series will come (we need to know if they will eventually colonise the planet, starting with how Bridgette will have her baby). 📚✨️"

"I loved that it wasn't a typical sci fi romance novel with aliens as the opposite race and instead it stuck to humans. I especially loved the difference in the thinking done by the main characters with regards to their age gap in the relationship. It felt real and very understanding. More people should read it too! I look forward to seeing more ❤️"

"Right from the start you're pulled into the sci-fi world of crashing on a unfamiliar planet and having to deal with the messy side of human nature. It reminds me of the series "The 100," if I were related it to something. The setting was great and not overwhelming or overcomplicated as some sci-fi stories can get. The cast of characters are it’s greatest asset. They all push and pull against each other and opinionated. It was never dull! The relationship between the two MCs was magical! It's everything you want from a slowburn, age gap trope. They both have a great character arc as well throughout the story. This is definitely on my must-read list! Great job, author! 💜"

"People stranded on a planet....not something I would normally read but I love this author so thought I'd give it a try. I'm so glad I did, I was hooked throughout. Love how the relationship blossomed between Calla and August and I cant wait to read what they can make of Forsaken for the future. Really well written with such vivid descriptions of the surroundings I felt like I was there too! On to book 2.... 💗"

"Especially as you said, this is a rough draft, but it is well done. Good pacing, good spice and passion, and a well-rounded story that fits into my Sci-Fi romance tastes well. I needed a romance story to rekindle my own romance focus for my work, and this fit the bill. Well done, congratulations on a story well made. There are always things that can be nitpicked, taken apart, edited, paced differently. Overall, it kept my interest and focus. I finished it in 2 days, so there is that."

Forced proximity on a strange planet. She falls first.
"Stranded on a strange planet. She is young and inexperienced. He is older and jaded, carrying a lot of emotional baggage. A strong story arc is around her trying to convince him, and others, that despite the power dynamics she is capable of making a consenting choice about entering a relationship. Well built characters and a strong well thought out storyline. Personal opinion: I found the male lead challenging to connect with. Not because the storyline was bad but just because I found his continued stubbornness annoying. But it ended up being one of those characters you ‘love to hate’. 🤬 Some minor swearing 🔪 Some graphic violence and fight scenes. Includes attempted violent sexual assault. 💋 A moderately graphic sex scenes. 🔚 This book is the first part of a series, but it does not end on a cliff hanger. "
