Missing The Romance
"So, I am a bit let down, disappointed, and deflated by this so called romance book. I was not expecting smut, I prefer PG-13, but this book couldn't even be classified as G rated because there was no romance period! There was no level of intimacy whatsoever. Kael wasn't even allowed to touch her and he refrained himself from even holding her hand. So, this made it hard for me to champion them on as a couple. She kept saying I choose myself then I choose you and all the characters seemed emotionless except for Riven, Cassian, Malric and the evil queen! This book was too long to go without that intimate connection between the two characters...even a kiss would have saved this from being so anti romantic! Kudos for the absence of profanity and graphic content (that was refreshing) but it did need the romantic connection to be a great read."
