Beautiful and empathetic
"I've lost count of how many of this author's books I've read now - at least half a dozen, and they all have the same theme and message about choice and empowerment. This is just as good as the others, and I hope that there will be many more to come. There are just a couple of little inconsistencies that need to be addressed. - In Chapter 2, Sam notes that he is eleven minutes older than Jasmine, but towards the end of the story, they are two years apart. - The abuse that the girls suffered was stated as being committed by their aunt, but in the final chapters when Jasmine returns home, her mother references "he". I don't recall reading anything about a male inflicting the trauma - was this changed during writing? - The summary says that Sam is offering the place to stay - this should be Hunter. Apart from that, another wonderful story from RB - keep it up! 🥰"

"Absolutely devastating. Unforgettable and beautiful. I loved this story and the characters. This is a reread type of book, it's that good! Highly recommend. "

Offside
"I enjoyed every aspect of this book and was moved to tears. I’m not sure if it is the representation of Filipino culture, the character developments, or the circumstances that have made these characters who they are, but I felt as if I was experiencing everything each character was. I will definitely keep this book in my “read it AGAIN” list. Beautiful execution, plot & dedication on the authors part! Outside of a few grammatical errors here & there, this was an excellent book, that I hope will one day become available to buy a physical copy of! "
Amazing story
"Hunter is an amazing character he feels so real and something about this story feels more heartfelt than some of your other stories, cried a lot. I usually don’t like the brother’s best friend trope but this was really good. The tramau these characters face and how they help eachother overcome it, just chefs kiss!! "
Beautiful
"...in a strong and silent way. "
