"I read it all in one sitting; even though it is fiction, it is one of the best stories I’ve read in the past year. For once, it offers a different perspective compared to the historical fiction I’ve come across so far."

"Although fictional, it did inspire me to look into higher education of women in the UK in the 1800’s. 1811-1813 would have been somewhat early for this to have taken place. A couple of women’s collleges opened in the late 1940’s but no degrees awarded until 1878. The story of the “London Nine” (9 women who fought to graduate and become doctors) was quite interesting. Still, the story was entertaining and I read it in one sitting (and yes, I do need to get up and move around now!)"
