A Beautiful tale of a wolfless girl who turns out to be a Dragon instead, talk about a serious power upgrade.
"This is a great story of a fated mate who is rejected due to practical reasons rather than a lack of feelings towards her, her pack is on the verge of collapse so the Alpha rejects her for a chosen mate who's Father offers money and guards to help defend the pack. The rejected mate leaves the pack afterwards, as they normally do, but is attacked by unknown riders a couple days later and survives by unlocked her Dragon half. This starts a journey to her actual homeland, discovering who she is, and then coming full circle with her former fated mate but on her terms this time. She handles the situations with grace and dignity, with an underlying strength that shows her worth. Her new homeland has a chosen King that was put in place after a serious calamity that wiped out the previous Royal family. There's intrigue, court dealings and politics, along with a slowly revealing backstory about who did what and why that unravels as the book goes on. It ends in a fiery clash, pun intended, as it should and all the threads close by the books end. I love Dragon stories and this one didn't disappoint. I highly recommend it for lovers of rejected mates getting vengeance, Dragon tales in general, and a woman who doesn't let anything get to her. "

I'm obsessed
"I am supposed to be working right now. Instead I am devouring this story. So unique. I love how strong the heroine is and how she demands to take up equal space. I love the slow burn between her and the king. Earlier on, I wish there had been a little more explanation about what it means to be a half dragon. Maybe using Nyx for that. Do they turn or not? What does the Princess' lineage mean for her and her dragon? Is she half or full? How many half dragons are in the kingdom? I would like to see a side quest or two of her championing them in some way, making their lives better. Weaving a little explanation of what it means to be a dragon, full or half, would help me orient better into the world. "

"Slow burn literally, but hopefully worth it when the rest of the story is written. Good storytelling, but I do think I know who the other person is responsible for the death of the royal family and Wren's mother. Loving learning about dragon lore. "
