Definitely hits close to home
"As someone who grew up and currently is a fat woman. It hits very close to home. All the “dumb things” she did once they got caught i hated it deep in my heart that she let it get to her. However i hated it because it’s something i would also do. While I do love my body it doesn’t mean nasty comments about it dont hurt. She did exactly what i would have done and i hated that (i loved it). It made the emotions all that much real. I don’t believe I will be finding love any time soon or possibly at all. Not for bad reasons either. Because stories like these make me remember that just because I’m different doesn’t mean i don’t deserve love and respect. And as fat women and girls we are usually taught the opposite or receive the opposite most of us at least. We are taught to not want because “why would they ever want you”. To shut something down before it even has a chance to grow because you think they’ll realize you aren’t worth the fight. Or even to accept what you’ve been given because “you aren’t gonna get any better.” And these stories remind me that that mentality is bullshit and it’s better to wait till you find someone worthy of your love and self. That they love you, your body, your brain and you deserve the love and affection they give you. Loved this story and loved these characters. The brother made me roll my eyes at first but I’m an only child so I don’t understand siblings that may just be my ignorance 😂. Loved Becketts family they also showed a side that I don’t normally see either. Usually I see judgement from the family of the person who likes bigger women. Not here. You can see he was raised right. Anyways keep writing please and thank you for sharing your stories. ❤️❤️"
