A Remarkable and Outstanding Work

"There are some books which linger in the mind long after you have finished them. There are others whose characters form such a presence in the reader's life that it is like losing friends when you finally close the last page. Others bring tears at their denouement. Some inspire the reader and make them feel they understand the world and themselves better. Occasionally a book will give a glimpse of the bejewelled head of the phoenix stirring in the ashes of a burnt out world. This is one of those rare books which does all of those things. Congratulations. If this book isn't published in the not too distant future I will begin feasting on my edition of Proust. Let me know when it's in the bookshops; I plan to be one of your first customers."
