An enjoyable, light read

First person present tense is a hard perspective to sell, but Stalked by a Vampire does a pretty descent job of selling it. The writing style is sparse and the plot is pretty simple, but there's a kind of charm to both that makes the story effective. Overall, despite the ominous title, this is a light but enjoyable read for people who want a fun story and a bit of escapism.

A gripping beginning with an Ooey Gooey Center

Followed this book from its old home to Inkitt, but I'm loving the re:read.

Firefly is a compelling narrative that perfectly balances the strength and courage that it takes to heal after trauma. The heroine, Ambar, is a perfect example of the journey in discovering (and harnessing) inner strength in the face of hardship. Her hero(es) are everything they should be, and the journey they take with Ambar will have you fanning yourself and wondering if someone's left the heat on.

An excellent start to an enticing thriller!

I'm on the edge of my seat waiting for the next update! The relationship between the POV characters seems like it'll be a slow, but intense burn, and the threat of a killer on the loose promises to be a mystery worth sticking around for!

A fantastic world and a (very) fast paced romance

The author has created an immensely engaging world that promises great depth from the onset. Although sometimes overshadowed by the author's excitement to get their story out on the page, the world holds incredible promise and provides a fascinating backdrop for exploring differences of culture, religion and sexuality. Starling and Em are certainly star-crossed, and while their tryst-turned-partnership occasionally overshadows the deeper and more driving forces of the conflict, both are engaging and sympathetic for the reader. Em's constant struggle to meet the expectations of his position and to impress his father; and Star's loss of religion, heritage, and family add layers of complexity make each chapter heart-gripping. Overall, a great exploration of the author's chosen themes, although I'd love to see the author slow down and give the characters more time to explore their own world as opposed to rushing the romance to the forefront of the plot.

An excellent collaboration of authors

A very silly and enjoyable collection of Valentine's Day short stories with a few shining gems interspersed. This collaborative effort puts the love in Valentine's day (and sprinkles it with some rather delightful chaos).

Definitely a great way for the reader who is looking for a new author to explore to gain wide exposure to different styles of storytelling.
