Prologue

Leia’s eyes flew open. Beside her was a slumbering and very naked Hayden Michaels. The reason for her family’s downfall. She watched him, her emotion conflicted within her. In sleep, he looked younger and more handsome than he had before.

Silently, she reached out her hand and pulled gently against the drawer. The knife was still there from the night before. She wrapped her hand around the handle and pulled it closer to her.

Leia turned her body carefully, trying her best not to move the covers too much. Since losing his eyesight, Hayden had developed an acute sense of hearing and she could not afford to wake him up now.

She stared at him, making sure that he was still in a deep sleep. His chest rose and fell with every breath. It was the best time for her to do it. Leia sat up, turned her body, and swung her leg over him.

Sitting on top of him, she leaned forward and brought the knife toward his neck. Now was the time to take her revenge, the moment she had been waiting and preparing for. Now was the time for her to avenge her father.

She held the knife just above his throat. Her eyes ran over every vein and artery. She had come this far, but hadn’t considered just where to make the lethal cut. Just as she was about to press the blade into his flesh, his hands reached forward. She jumped in fright.

Hayden let out a sigh as he felt his way up her hips. Unaware of the weapon in her hand, he pulled her closer to him, kissing her gently. His lips were soft against hers and her eyes closed, giving in to him. He kissed her deeply, his tongue dancing around hers, biting her lip.

She felt the fingers that were still wrapped around the handle of the blade loosen their grip. His hands sent shivers across her warm skin as he explored her every curve, getting to know her body.

She had given in too much. He tightened his arms around her, moving his kisses down her neck. Shivers ran down her spine as she felt his cock bulge beneath her. With little thought, she rocked against him, moaning softly as he got harder.

“Good morning,” he said, the corners of his mouth turning upwards. He released his grip on her to stretch his shoulders.

“Good morning,” she replied, her voice quivering.

Then she remembered why she was there. She was not there to fall in love, and she wasn’t there to please her master.

Tightening her grip on the knife, she brought it back up to his throat, her hands shaking. She closed her eyes, and she took a deep breath.
