Summary

This poem is a continuation from my previous Poems lovely letters. It is to express my ups and downs and feelings going through life without understanding life or how to function in the world with my disabilities. I felt as though I rushed myself ready my first poem book and I would like to slow down and understand the events that have conspired in the last year.

The thorns in my darkness

Feelings and pain, sadness and sorrow.

Tears and anger emotions that seem to bubble at the worst moments.

I used to be strong independent and vigilant My own independent person,

But I fell in the clutches of evil a hand so sweet.

The embodiment of an angel the love and passion of someone I've never once experienced,

I once made myself believe that I deserved these things, happiness undying love of rock in which I can lean on when times get hard. But it turned out that my angel was nothing but the thorns in my life. The flower that once gave me unconditional happiness now steams me with blood.

I weep the memories of the past and dream of what could have but only the ink stains of darkness swallows me whole Dragging me down into the precipice of sadness and loneliness.

What a fool I've been to believe such childish wins of a dream that only the Young can dream for the man that you would be loved by and cherished and supported all I've gotten were thorns and scratches.

My tears are dry my happiness is black feelings of emptiness swallows me into the bellows of no return where my feelings are drowned in the silent sounds of my heart.

I am not strong enough to lift myself from this pain so in time I sit and listen to my regrets and memories of long ago wishing and remembering a simpler time when feelings were reported and betrayal wasn't so strong.
