"I would recommend this book to those who enjoy mystery and thrill of surprise. This book is absolutely stunning with it's plot twists and surprise reveals. If the plot doesn't keep you on your high heels or toes with suspense then the reveals sure will. One hundred and ten percent I would recommend reading this!"

A Tale where no one grows up
"Normally I love these types of books, this is an exception. The story itself was fine, the plotline followed the normal Billionaire tropes, one hides their identity as a billionaire because the other has deep seated feeling, granted based on early experience, about the rich. Except it stays there, in that little microcosm of their lives. The characters grow, their feelings for each other develop, yet neither leave behind their early development. Imagine stopping aging at 18, where you believe the world is just, that good overcomes evil, that you know everything about anything and you are invincible. Then imagine that after 10 to 15 years of living life, of being stepped on, having your hopes crushed, and seeing the wicked prevail, you don't learn from any of it. You still go through life as that invincible 18 year old person. That's what this story feels like to me. The FL had deep rooted feelings for the rich, hated them with a passion, yet she makes the mistake we all do when young. There is no separation for a class of people, everyone is the same...which isn't realistic. There are good and evil in every class system. To lump them all together is foolish at best, stereotypical at worst. The ML falls for her on sight, but knows her feelings on his class so he hides who he is. Gets a normal job, lives with her in a normal apartment, until one point where he tries to spoil her and triggers her paranoia about how he is spending thousands on shoes when they live paycheck to paycheck. This is where the reveal comes in, she watches a media event, think red carpet rich people event, and see's her boyfriend with a family that is at the top of the chain when it comes to money, power, and influence. Here starts the unraveling, she confronts him, confirms her discovery, and promptly breaks up with him. Except he's too far gone to let her go, so he basically refuses to agree. The next set of chapters deals with their break up, his trying to get her back and her examining her own feelings. Normal trope for these things, except neither learns from their experiences. From the beginning to chapter 38/40 she still hates rich people. From the beginning to the end he loves her conditionally, I say that because he goes from one extreme to another. He hides his wealth, then tries to give it away. To live life on her terms, except that isn't what she wants. It takes the Matriarch of his family to grab her hand and show her what they do with their wealth to get the FL to understand. It took way too long. Love is supposed to be for better or worse, for richer or poorer, in sickness and in health...that isn't this story, this story is two people deadset on their own beliefs and refusing to bend. It's unrealistic. In fairness, the ML was far more forgiving of her issues then she was with his. He at least tried to get her to understand that wasn't him, he wasn't what she thought of his class. This could have been a much better story if each of the leads would get out of their own heads and just live for each other. It had potential to be epic, the family dynamics were a nice touch, understated, completely in sync with what the Matriarch said about them and finally showed the FL. That alone should have brought an awakening to the FL, yet she ignored her eyes for her history. I skipped chapters near the end to finish it but I will say the one thing that could have helped this story along, in my opinion, would be the dismantling of her tormentors from high school. Not saying it isn't there as I skipped around, but having them taught a lesson might have helped the story progress. IMO. To the author, a good effort. The characters breathed, I could see why they made some decisions, how circumstances felt to them. But the lack of growth was frustrating. "
Truly great 👍

Suspense is Good
"Although there are compelling parts of this story, it is way too whiny "
