"This is the third book by this author that I have read, and once again, I am completely drawn in by the way she writes. Her language has this sharp, atmospheric quality that makes every scene feel vivid without becoming overly dramatic or polished into something unreal. The story of a girl confronting her former school bully years later could have easily become a simple enemies-to-lovers setup, but it feels much more uncomfortable and compelling than that. There is history between them, resentment, attraction, anger, and a sense that neither of them fully knows what to do with the intensity that returns when they meet again. Their connection is not sweet in an easy way. It is messy, restrained, sometimes painful, and impossible to ignore. I know I repeat myself when I talk about this author’s books, but I love that she does not cover everything in sugar. There is no glossy, pink version of romance here. The atmosphere feels like looking at a beautiful flower growing out of a scrapyard: something delicate and striking surrounded by rust, damage, old wounds, and things people would rather leave behind. Maybe that sounds childish, but it is exactly how this book feels to me. The brutalism of the emotional tone is what makes it work. The characters are not softened to make them easier to love, and the relationship does not pretend that past cruelty disappears because attraction is present. That makes every moment of vulnerability feel more meaningful. I cannot wait to see where this goes. "

"From start I felt for Rowan and Ivy but this book is so hard at times but the writing is pot on @ninaramseyer you were born to write these storys. I fell in love with every book of yours iv read. This was one that broke me ,I understood and lived a different life to most and some of comments really got to me so I didn't review like I usually do. But this is a must read"

"I really enjoyed how the rage boiled in my blood at the start, thanks for that. I loved how the author turned it around in a realistic way to make me, not forgive him, so much as understand, accept and like him. Good job. Super cute romance too. I like an enemies to lovers where they're proper enemies first."

"I loved it! The FL for me was a great example of really “strong” woman . Strong - it’s not aggressive aka badass or sarcastic brat. Strong- it’s when a life or some ppl drag you trough some real shit but you still have your spark and power , you keep being just who you are without betraying yourself, being kind and empathetic if that’s who you are and chasing your passion even if some ppl try to humiliate you and doubt yourself. "Definitely dark at times and some of the scenes are very harsh, but you knew from the beginning that he loved her and it came together very well, very well written, it didn’t drag on and it definitely kept you on your toes. I highly highly highly recommend reading you won’t be able to put it down."
