When the author describes the “glacial air conditioning hitting her wet clothes,” I thought: “This is going to be good.” The writing in each scene immerses you in the setting. The writer uses details from each of the senses to capture the moment. Not only do we feel the characters’ emotions through their mental landscapes, but by rich physical detail. The plot had me intrigued almost right away as well. Ethan Blackwood strikes you at first as someone to be feared, but a deep care shows in his actions towards Eva Chen. And Eva isn’t afraid to go toe to toe with him. Her talents and confidence shine as she shows off her ability to be an excellent secretary. And the tension between the two of them is amazing. Definitely recommend this story to anyone who loves slow burn, romantic tension, and suspense. "

I don’t know if it’s just me but for most of the time, the plot was pretty obvious. However, I don’t think every story needs to shock you. The description is vivid especially the vibe of the office is spot on. Keep writing! "
