The Awakened
"I absolutely love this book series I just finished the second book. I am always down to read a werewolf romance book but I got sooo much more than I expected when I read this book. It is a great story. I love that the main character is not like male centered. She had her own hopes and dreams and aspirations that have nothing to do with a mate or a man coming to fix everything for her. I love all the people she’s meeting that instantly recognize the heart and character she carries and she earned their respect. I love that she has this unbreakable bond with her sister that came at exactly the right time. And usually the foreshadowing in books would bother me or I’d get impatient and skip to the end of the book to figure out what happens. But with this book every little detail and foreshadowing makes me even more invested. I have to read it in order and finish the series lol. I like it so much I’m taking a break from the other physical books I’m currently reading. I have to find out what happens when Lura gets to know herself. And I also think it’s so cool the authors name is Lura too ❤️🔥"

"Love the characters! Still haven’t recovered from and gotten past Kael’s death. This is a really good story. I am diving straight into book 3! The only thing I can think to critique is the continuity. If you say “for the first time in months Lura felt safe/happy/loved” then you can’t repeat those same feelings two chapters later saying “for the first time” again. And sometimes the timelines are inconsistent. They sometimes change once or twice before settling into being spoken of in a consistent manner. Those things have been mildly distracting to me but not so much that I couldn’t enjoy this really good story!"

I am still pleased & enjoyed that it didn’t drag things out with endless descriptions of every feeling and emotion — it kept the story moving! "I enjoyed that his book reads as a mystery as compared to romance. Bookie and the man who appears when she sleeps seem to tie together in chapter 28. I enjoyed the pack encounters, but was happy you included Zara as Lura is not an introvert and the journey shared seemed to support the character. Only a few tears,not ugly crying, upon seeing her loved ones after her awakening. Great read! Chapter 27 was a great pivot!"

"I am so ready for book 3 but I really enjoyed this book I think my favorite part is her dream man I love the way they interact with each other and she still doesn’t think he’s real. I also love the new sister and how they met was a cute story and I like how they are both helping each other grow and heal."
