CHAPTER 1 REVIEW
"CHAPTER 1 Plot Clarity & Pacing The "Jump": Starting with "Four Months Later" is a great way to show that life has moved on. It creates immediate curiosity about what happened during that gap. The Pacing: The first half (the dinner) moves at a comfortable, domestic pace. The second half (the clubhouse) accelerates quickly. However, the transition from "we're following them to the party" to "Frankie is on a stripper pole" felt very fast. As a reader, I would have liked a moment of her actually entering the party and feeling the vibe before she jumped into the performance. The "Deek" Thread: The mentions of Deek are well-placed "bread crumbs." You give just enough information to know he’s an ex who looms large, which builds tension for his eventual appearance at the bar. Character Development & Relatability Frankie: She feels confident and happy, which makes her likable. Her pride in her job ("I’m not ashamed of my body") adds a layer of toughness. One thing that felt slightly inconsistent: she is "so nervous" about the meeting, yet she is comfortable enough to immediately jump on a pole and "show her panties" to the club while her new boyfriend watches. It’s an interesting contrast, but I wondered if she’d be more cautious on such a "high-stakes" night for her relationship. Jason: He is described as the "perfect" guy, hot, supportive, and cool with the club. Because he is so perfect and has no flaws yet, he feels a little bit like a "placeholder" for the hero. I’m waiting for him to do something that shows his true personality beyond being "into" Frankie. Deek: Even with no dialogue, his presence is powerful. The "jaw ticking" and "crushing the glass" are classic physical cues that tell the reader exactly who he is: volatile and possessive. Emotional Engagement The "Found Family": The connection between Frankie and Bella is the emotional heart of this chapter. The "whale" comment and the way Bull supports Bella makes the club feel like a real home, which makes the reader care about whether Jason fits in. The Jealousy Factor: The moment Deek crushes the glass is the highest emotional point. It successfully pivots the chapter from a "happy romance" to a "tense drama." It makes the reader feel the "danger" that Frankie is trying to ignore. Structural Integrity Setting the Scene: You do a great job describing the contrast between the "Italian restaurant" and the "smell of weed, sweat, and alcohol" at the club. It visually defines the two worlds Frankie is balancing. Internal Monologue: There is a lot of "telling" in the beginning (describing Jason's height, hair, and car in a list). As a reader, I found the story more engaging when Jason was actually acting (squeezing her hip, joking about the drive) rather than being described in a list of traits. The Ending: Ending on the "happy and spent" sleep creates a "calm before the storm" feeling. We know Deek is spiraling outside, while Frankie is oblivious inside. It’s a good cliffhanger. Strengths & Weak Areas Strengths: Visual Details: The descriptions of the outfits (the lilac dress, the polka dot midi) help the reader "see" the characters clearly. The Club Atmosphere: You’ve captured the "lived-in" feel of a clubhouse, the ZZ Top music, the specific smells, and the "manly head nods." Weak Areas: The "Jason" Logic: It felt a bit strange that Bull would give his "sacred" President’s room to a guy he just met four hours ago at an Italian restaurant. From a reader's perspective, MC (Motorcycle Club) culture is usually very protective of their space, so this felt like a very "easy" win for Jason that might lack a bit of realism. Dialogue Tags: There are a few moments where the dialogue flows well, but the descriptions around it (like the "stripper pole" scene) happen so fast that I lost the sense of how much time was passing. Great work so far! If you ever want deeper, detailed feedback on your manuscript, you can find my contact info through the email icon on my profile."
Frankie's forever
"I love it!! Fantastic!! I hated it!! Spider and Jason got what they deserved. Gun are bad to buy and sell but they are better than drugs. The guns they sold went to Mexico. In the end I love that Francis and Deacon got together and got married. I just wish the baby ended up being Deacons. I still think Francis'Forever is a great read. "

Frankie’s Forever
"All in this was a good book for reading. I thoroughly enjoyed the entirety of it. I only put 4⭐️ for grammar and punctuation as there were a few parts that needed editing. One was women where it should have been woman. And another was your usage of use. Where that should have been you or you’s. But all in a great book with a hot storyline:)"
