I am sad about Harley but I'm glad she knew her worth and didn't take him back. "

Tilly was a strong person, I'm glad she had Jenny and Greg on her side and later Bryson and her other friends. Tilly came out on top and I'm glad she did! This was a very good book, worth the read. You really made me feel like this was a true story about Tilly. I know things like this do happen. You really captured 'her story' in a captivating way. "

"This book based on its summary seems like a very emotional story about a girl called Matilda who was mistreated by her family members and who were looking for an opportunity to accuse of something and they did find something. Matilda's supposed father's friend pushed her mothers down the stairs for an unknown reason and then the family took up the case and when her father's friend accused her of being the one who murdered her mother, they believed him in an instant without even checking the security footage and immediately was sent to juvenile. So in essence, what I'm trying to say is that the story was a very interesting one even though I've just read the summary and partially the first chapter. The author really worked hard on this story and deserves a 5 star rating"

The struggles of recovering from the abuse and betrayal Tilly went through - not just from being in juvie, but also from her family - were absolutely heartbreaking. The PTSD and panic attacks were so relatable (been there myself). But Tilly stood up for herself, set boundaries and drew the line in the sand. She stood firm in protecting herself physically and emotionally from those who broke her in the past, and she chose not only her own path in life, but who she would allow to walk that path with her. Well done! "
