"I don't understand how Mercer was tied to the dead guys in the basement. How would he know about it? Why would he care who's dead in the basement? If he really wanted to do something about it why wouldn't he break in and try and dig up the bodies or report his suspicions to the police? If police found the bodies Kierra would have been blamed and Mercer could buy property. I just don't understand how any of it tied together."
