"The prologue left me with such a bittersweet vibe, I was hesitant & questioning if this book was right for me. I’m glad I pushed through & continued however, not without a persistent unshakable feeling that kept lingering throughout the books entirety (including part 2 of this trilogy). The authors direct, descriptive, & lush words offer the reader an evocative vividness that captures their attention immediately. I was so deeply immersed by the writing, dialogue, & characters I found myself saying “one more chapter” like an addict chasing an unknown high. Page after page I became more enticed, memorized, needing to find out what happens next & finished the book in less than 24 hrs. Truly remarkable writing! "
