"Zuri Osei is everything. She is the funniest, warmest, most genuinely human FMC I have read recently. Obari is precise. He is ancient. He is severe in the way of hotness that grabs you instantly. The tension in this book is genuinely unhinged. Scenes with lingering moments, almosts that leave you breathing different and wondering how they are managing this. The story keeps you glued and asking when the next chapter is going to be uploaded. The Afrokan world and lore continues to expand beautifully. If you have read any other books in this world, it puts a smile on your face to see some subtle connections. The lore. The FMC. The precise ancient deeply inconvenient structures changing because of this amazing woman he has met. The shadows that choose before he does. It is all ❤️❤️ Highly recommend!"
