Dangerously good read!
"A really addictive read with great tension throughout. Rowan’s obsession with Lana, their complicated history, and the danger surrounding him made their relationship feel intense from the start. I loved that being with him genuinely put her at risk because he has more than one enemy, which kept the suspense high alongside the romance. Their chemistry was strong, the possessive energy was exactly what I wanted, and the history between them made everything feel that much more emotional. Definitely a gripping read if you like romance mixed with danger and obsession. "

Rowan’s possessive and obsessive personality fits the dark romance vibe really well, while Lana is strong enough to stand her ground. I also liked how the story has more than just romance. The secrets, drama, tension and unexpected twists kept me curious about what would happen next. It was an addictive read, especially if you enjoy dark romance, powerful CEOs and complicated relationships. "

A slow burn that earns it
"It starts as a familiar premise, a powerful CEO and his secretary with a complicated past, and slowly becomes something much more layered than that. What sets it apart is that the tension never relies on misunderstandings or manufactured drama. Every obstacle between Rowan and Lana is earned, specific, and rooted in real consequences. Rowan is a well-constructed male lead. His control isn't just a personality trait, it's a survival mechanism, and watching it crack slowly over thirty chapters feels completely believable. Lana grows equally well. By the end she isn't reacting to him anymore. She's standing beside him, and that shift feels genuinely earned. The thriller subplot elevates the story above most romance fiction. Dmitri is a genuinely unsettling antagonist precisely because he stays offscreen for so long, and the revelation that his power was built on manufactured fear rather than real omniscience is one of the smartest plot turns in the story."

"I loved this novel and was so happy the author decided to finish the book. I can say I look up to the Author just by being a new young Author. I do read all chapters and even comments when I review. That being said, I saw the AI comment where I see the suspicion, but the more you read, you see it’s just a writing style, and it’s all handwritten. I did have a bunch of questions the book did end up answering so I love how well it was written to do that so flawlessly I would love to know how the author posts so regularly and maybe some tips on how to be able to do that myself. The smut was added in so tastefully, as well as the plot being more of a monopoly/mafia vibe that was so refreshing compared to the stereotypical CEO style novels, and how the characters blend so nicely with each other What I would like to see is more world-building. 10/10 5 stars I will be making a post so my followers can also see this! "

"I enjoyed this book overall. The story was engaging, and the author did a great job maintaining suspense throughout. The pacing kept me interested, and I was eager to find out what would happen next. But the book felt a little too short for the story it was trying to tell. Just as I became fully invested in the characters and plot, it seemed to end much sooner than expected. The premise had a lot of potential, and I would have loved to see the author explore it in greater depth with more character development and world-building. It was an enjoyable read with strong storytelling and enough mystery to keep the pages turning. I only wish there had been more of it."
