" If you've been looking for a mafia romance that actually takes its characters seriously, Mistakenly Yours is exactly that. The premise hooks you immediately. A case of mistaken identity lands Maggie in the world of the Bianchi family, and what unfolds over 46 chapters, short, punchy, and genuinely hard to put down, is one of the more carefully constructed slow burns I've read on this platform. What sets JeordieDravenX80's writing apart is her use of alternating labeled perspectives. Every chapter shift is clearly marked so you always know whose head you're in. This sounds simple but it's doing enormous work throughout the book. You experience the tension from both sides simultaneously, which makes the slow burn actually burn. Neither character announces their feelings. You just watch two people stop pretending they don't have them. Maggie is not a passive heroine. She's sharp, practical, and quietly vulnerable in ways that feel completely real. Matteo is equally well drawn, dangerous and controlled, but with an interior life the author reveals gradually and carefully. These are characters with actual weight. The generous intimate scenes throughout do exactly what good romance writing requires. They don't pause the story. They deepen the confusion, for the characters and honestly for the reader, which is precisely where they should be at every turn. The story earns its darkness and earns its warmth in equal measure. JeordieDravenX80 doesn't use difficult material as decoration. She uses it as architecture, and the resolution pays off everything the setup promised. And the epilogue will make you smile. Then it gets wild. If Mistakenly Yours is your introduction to JeordieDravenX80, know that this is an author with sixty titles and a distinct voice that carries across all of them. She writes character first, plot second, and emotion underneath everything. The alternating perspective style appears throughout her catalog and is worth exploring well beyond this book. Highly recommend. Start it when you have time to stay."
