Childhood trauma and adult issues
"To start with, I'd like to react to the author's comment at the end of this book: I guess some people see the female character as toxic but the author clearly described how the woman's "peculiarities" came to be, from the massive trauma she experienced early in life. To me, to have your safety threatened at 12 years old seems a valid enough reason to distrust other people easily, strangers especially. A man who'd behave the way she does would be accepted more than a woman... Why though? The trauma is still the same. To me the female lead's character is well described and explained. She clearly shows growth and the temporary relapses appear logical from that perspective. I was more surprised by the male protagonist's emotional outbursts since he seemed to already have undergone some growth after his childhood trauma and since he had adopted the motto "what's in the past is in the past, we have to move forward". However, as I said earlier, from the trauma perspective he has equal right to temporary relapses as she does. Overall, the story develops nicely. I can relate to their behavior, their decisions... not all of them but they seem "real" people. The author made the characters realistic while including the phantasy of the werewolve world. Job well done I say. I'm looking forward to reading the sequel!"
Riveting and with high volume of Suspense
"Athena is a trip!! Conflicting, Stubborn, Willful, Courageous and Beguiling. Straits you would associate with men, she has a good heart. The writer was able to bring all these various personalities together with her unique writing skills to capture Orion's sexiness, masculinity, business persona and his need to protect his mate. This story in Book 1 was well written, it was a definite page turner from Chapter 1 to 24. I am looking forward to reading Book2. Thank you Ms. Anders."

"Orion was the jackpot of mates. He was so tolerant and patient. Athena didn't want intimacy with Gabriel due to the lack of the mate bond. When the mate bond presented itself, she fought against it so hard."
