Not perfect, but still one of the best!
"I loved everything about this story - even the less refined things. The characters are to die for, realistic, endearing, and enchantingly human. Every side character, every small interaction, every small detail like a game of cards or a window in a storage closet, it all is described and written so real. Like this is an actual world, with actual people. Like WE the readers are actually there. And it's part of what makes this story actually matter to me personally, a story I will definitely remember. I can go on with my admiration all day, but for some actual feedback I'll start with the story. I can't stress enough how real and intimate the writing is, it makes this the kind of story you can't put down even after you've finished it. It's the kind of story you go to sleep dreaming about, or you get through the mundane day just to get home and keep reading. If a story has you wishing it would never end, that's a good sign it not only had a good ending but it was enjoyable the whole way through. The only real con with this story lies with the plot which I will get into next. When I take a step back and just look at the plot, woo am I in love with it. Overall it flows smoothly and the end of every chapter either has you saying "what will happen next?", "wow what a chapter!", "IS IT JUST ME OR IS IT HOT IN HERE 🥵🥵🥵", or my favorite one: "Lol". The plot is engaging, not overly erotic but the chili peppers are still very present. My only thing with the plot is sometimes it feels very rushed or maybe rushed isn't the right word, perhaps it just feels like "that very important plot point that needed to happen for character development almost feels like it didn't fit but was thrown in there to continue the story." And other times it's like "that character's reaction maybe makes sense if I don't think on it too long, but if I do it's kinda odd". Don't worry though, because for that one you'll be too busy reading the next chapter to think for long. I gave plot 3 stars but if I could rate it on a 0-10 scale I would give it a 7, it just isn't quite 4 stars. Though still very lovable. Writing style! I've already said how real the story is so many times, all I have to say is this is the style of a dedicated and masterful author. The style only ever adds to the story. Sometimes the ending of chapters can feel hmm, repetitive? In the sense that sometimes you'll go 5 chapters in a row ending off with "that was deep" or something akin to that. But I don't think that takes away from the story and I have no other semi-cons for the writing style. Lastly technical writing skills. I'm the type of person to notice a comma splice or a misused apostrophe s for possession vs just an s for plural, but I have to say I didn't find not a single grammatical errors. Maybe I just read it too late at night to notice but even then I usually notice these things so bravo to the author! At the end of the day, this story didn't get full 5 stars like others that I've read. Yet when it comes to my favorite stories, this story might place higher than some of those "perfectly refined" ones. It truly is an incredible piece of work and perhaps it's a bit far fetch'd for me to say this without having read any other works from this author or reading all that many stories on Inkitt but... this author might be among the best here on Inkitt!"
The Mafia's Night Nurse
"Great read!"
The Mafia's night nurse
""I am completely hooked! The chemistry between the leads is electric, and I love the 'forced proximity' dynamic that comes with her being his nurse. The author does a fantastic job balancing the grit of the mafia world with the tender, vulnerable moments in the sickroom. It’s a page-turner that I couldn't put down! I loved how grounded the characters felt. The author did an amazing job making them feel like real people rather than just tropes. You can really tell how much care went into the world-building; I felt completely immersed the entire time. It wasn't just a story—it was a pleasant trip into a well-crafted world. Beautifully done! Thank you for a wonderful reading experience " "
😭😭😭
"Very emotional and sammy and luca they are so much in love truly amazing story ."
LOVED IT!!
"Honestly amazing! The writing, the details, the drama, the plot all of it was just wonderful I loved it so much!! As someone who doesn’t read much books without smut scenes in then this was a chefs kiss with only 2 smut scenes I believe? (Correct me if I’m wrong) The writing just sucked you in I read it in one day stayed up suuuper late but worth every bit! Keep up the amazing writing! Love ittt! 😉🤩 "
The Mafia’s Night Nurse
"This is an awesome story but the characters will have you wanting to pull your hair out, lol. I love Sammy and Luca’s journey but all the twists are what bring the story to life even though it’s hard on the readers emotions. Luca maybe a ruthless mob boss but he has a good heart. Sammy on the other hand is a feisty loud mouth with plenty of sarcasm and sassy humor. When the humor shows up it’s perfectly timed to show Sammy’s cheeky nature or just drive someone else crazy. Fantastic job author. 💞🩷💞"
Amazing

Nice Read
"Liked reading the story.Good work Author."
One of the best!!
"This is probably one of the first stories I started reading on Inkitt and I must say it's so worth it!! The cliffhangers of waiting for the next chapter are always worth the wait. The strong protagonist Sammy is defiantly something new to me in mafia stories. I think it was pulled off very well and it's defiantly one of my top recommendations as well as the other stories the author has posted as well! I will mention that I had hoped for a bit more backstory of the characters like how they got there or why the act the way they do, but other then at it was an amazing read! I'm sad to see it ending but I love the end so it's so worth it!"
Loved it! ❤️🔥
"Wow. What can I say? Mafia Night Nurse was my first ever M/M book—and I wasn’t sure what to expect. But I absolutely LOVED it. The story is beautifully written, pulling you into a wild rollercoaster of emotions from start to finish. I laughed, I cried, and I practically chewed my nails off waiting for new chapters to drop. Consider me officially converted to the world of M/M romance—and I’m convinced it’s down to this author’s incredible talent. The characters felt so real and alive, and the connection between them was electric in all the right ways. I’d absolutely recommend Mafia Night Nurse to anyone and everyone. Add it to your TBR—you won’t regret it."

All About the Action
"An ER night-shift nurse with a taste for thrill becomes the unlucky (or perhaps quite lucky) host to an injured Mafia lord. This novel boasts an enthralling combination of medical drama, mysterious backstories, organized crime, and gay romance. If there's one thing this story has, it's drama. There's an outburst, sudden twist, or tense conversation waiting in every chapter. The plot is simple, focused tightly around Sammy and Luca's interactions. While the storyline is predictable, the execution hooks interest. The author strikes a good balance between description and action, carrying the story at a satisfying pace. This author is talented. Those tasty little bits of poetic prose at the cliffhanger endings of several chapters are - well - delicious. The technical properties of the writing could use some work. There were a lot of errors. I won't judge the punctuation, because I'm not familiar with the standard being used (looked like a cross between American/British but I wouldn't know!) Given this story is still being uploaded, I don't suppose it's been edited much - and there weren't so many errors that it significantly detracted from the readability. Now, to talk about the #1 deciding factor for how strongly I like/dislike a story: the characters. And here, the novel doesn't quite score as well in my book. Sammy's character is a strong asset to the story. He packs a satisfactory blend of funny, relatable, sarcastic, and surprise. The only reason I had some difficulty connecting with him is his insatiable hunger for trouble - particularly given he prides himself on his supposedly street-earned instincts. The combination made him come across as foolish - which unexpectedly made him weirdly cute? I'm not sure that was intended by the author, but it certainly kept me reading. Sammy also has a nice bit of mystery surrounding him concerning his hinted-at past life. Very nice. Luca's character I did not care for. I should have been well-warned by the very title of the book that this was going to be a Mafia romance, and therefore unabashedly morally gray. "Gray" is kindness to Luca. "Midnight gray" is also kindness. This character is black. The small depth to which I got to know Luca in the chapters I read showed he is cruel, ruthless, proud, power-high, and close to psychotic. The term "man-child" comes to mind - with manpower, firearms, knives, and a torture chamber at his beck and call. Bad combination, and one I certainly did not want to see becoming romantically involved with a character I like. There are side characters in the story - which I appreciate - but I didn't get to know any of them to any depth. Eve and Matteo rather feel like a ditch effort to portray a softer side to Luca, Sammy's sister didn't quite show, and Margaret was not explored as much as I would have liked. Christian was done a grave injustice, and I did not feel his character flip was sufficiently supported - either logically or psychologically. But again, I'm a very character-driven reader. To wrap, this novel promises a punch if you're looking for a quick-paced MxM romance involving crime lords and slightly awkward nurses - particularly if you're more about the action than character depth! I'm reviewing a total of 15 chapters (all that is published at the time of this review.) As always, kudos to the author! "
