Riveting, captivating and beautiful
"This was an amazing read. Every time I got the chance to read, I'd devour multiple chapters at once, unable to tear my eyes away. The characters are complex, realistic and complete including the characters surrounding the MC and LI. They all complement each other and the storyline perfectly. The plot was engaging and riveting.The action scenes near the end felt like a movie. The romance was beautiful and endearing to experience in this story and the added romance of side characters is an awesome bonus. The writing is strong, and evokes many emotions in the reader from endearment to excitement to laughter. This is one of the best Mafia stories I've read and I've read a lot of them. This one will linger in my memory. Looking forward to the possibility of a part two or a new story involving some of the characters. "

Decent Mafia story with touches of humor.
"It's hard to review this without knowing what the author intended but I'll try. This is a decent mafia story, but think Johnny Dangerously not the Godfather. There are elements in this book that make me wonder if they were intentional or not. Example, the english spoken by the native italian speakers in the book, sound more like a dumbed down version than a serious attempt at language. Words are missing for example. The tone is almost sing song rather than spoken intentionally. Hence a Tragicomedy rather than a more serious interpretation. It's chock full of violence, intrigue, deceits, twists and turns, but it never seems to go off track for long. The main male character and the main female character start on opposite sides and end up together. It's not love at first sight, but they get there. I could classify it as an enemies to lovers angle, although truthfully they are not enemies in any real sense. The MFC is there unwillingly at the beginning, ends up captured, but falls for the MMC pretty quickly. The MMC's brother is the comedic relief for most of the film. He has his moments but will usually be the one to crack a joke, even at the worst moments. It's like he takes nothing seriously. The other characters are given their moments in the sun, adding to a rich tale that has good development and backstories for all of them. The author does a good job with keeping the disparate elements together. The pace of new chapters was constant. I did shelve this book for a bit to allow it to come to a conclusion, then knocked it off in a few hours. Shorter chapters than some books I have read on Inkitt, but it flowed really well. I'll check out the other offerings. Good job to the author, whether the comedic elements I read were intended as such or not, this was a well written book and I thoroughly enjoyed it. "
