"Wow... die Geschichte hat mir soooo unfassbar gut gefallen. Dein Schreibstil ist so angenehm und flüssig. Und die Dialoge, halt wie im "echten leben". Selbst wenn keiner da eine PTBS hat. Es ist toll beschrieben, wie sich die PTBS äußern kann und Gedankengänge der betroffenen wurden so dargestellt, das man es gut verstehen konnte. Das hier ist keine klassische Romantik Geschichte, wo man Drama und übertriebene Spannung erwarten sollte. Diese geht, so viel tiefer, und strahlt selbst beim lesen eine enorme Ruhe aus. (Zumindest bei mir) Die Entwicklung von Killian und Knox ist vordergründig. Ich habe jede Zeile genossen, sie zu begleiten hat mich total fasziniert. Lauren hat auch eine Entwicklung hinter sich, nicht so prägnant, aber dennoch spürbar. Irgenwie immer wieder erstaunlich, wie Gefühle von Büchern auf einen überschwappen. Gestern wollte ich unbedingt auch in dem Haus der ruhe sein 😅 einfach weil bei mir zuhause Chaos herrschte 😅😅 Einfach tolle Geschichte und großartige Leistung🥰 Rechtschreibung und Grammatik sind tadellos. Mir ist nix aufgefallen. Und selbst wenn wäre es mir egal. Manche stören sich da schon eher dran, deswegen die Erwähnung. "

"As a military wife, this book BROKE ME in the BEST WAY possible! I cannot express enough GRATITUDE towards the author, who did a tremendous job approaching the sensitive topic of PTSD w/thee utmost respect, accuracy, & care..... acknowledging the emotional weight & trauma that many of our service members face on the daily. This story proves LOVE CAN EXIST alongside trauma....w/it being a supportive factor, yet not a magical cure. It navigates the fine lines between romance & combat related PTSD...by being a safe space rather than a “fix”, so one can begin the road of recovery. It truly defines “unconditional love” by excepting a person fully w/out judgement, giving purpose to life moving forward! I felt deeply connected & attached to each character, which packed an emotional punch owning my heart! Their raw authentic emotions took me on a roller coaster ride w/overwhelming feelings of empathy, happiness, inspiration, grief, yearning, & passion. Their human characteristics, vulnerabilities, & growth truly had a sentimental impact on me, which really hit close to home being a military wife. This is a deeply moving captivating read, that’s both heartwarming & gut wrenching. It will leave you with an everlasting impression long after finishing!"

The trauma, the slow burn romance. There's nothing that needs to be added, nothing that needs to be subtracted. "I’m normally a Romantacy gal but I decided to give this novel a try and I’m glad I did. It gives you all the feels on real human emotions and life. I even recommend it to my sister who is married to a retired military veteran who has ptsd. Love the brothers and the way they interact and their opposite personalities. Was a really good read! "
