"You had me invested in the characters from the beginning. Nice to have some positive outcomes given their individual circumstances. We just need to deal with Mason and Cole next, as well as get Lexi straightened around! Spelling & grammatical errors and the odd missing word are a bit distracting, but they don’t take away from the storytelling."

The romance hits you like a fist
"As someone who grew up in a town where 3 things were always true (1. There's a race this weekend be it horses/cars/or dirt bikes 2. Mrs Betty Sue and the women's fellowship are selling cakes and lunch plates after church on Sunday 3.boys like girls and anything else is wrong) I feel like this is a really good representation of discovering an alternate sexuality in a southern small town. The slow burn was just slow enough to count the fist fights spoke volumes even before the protagonists understood it. The spice was spicy. And over all it was just plain good. "

"The title and cover totally got me. I am so happy I grabbed this fun little read. I like how the author put this one together. The work is very gritty and it fits the characters and the flow and pacing. I had a moment of wondering if these two were even good for each other, but just as I got spun up, the author made good on the promise of a happy ending. I know I am later to the party, most of the notes on this book are from two months ago... but truly I am with everyone in the hopes that the author takes on the second book. I will be waiting to see. If you like male male with a little heat and a lot of gritty fights, this is a good read to pick up. :)"
