"As someone who is autistic who suffers from sensory overload, who fails more often than not with understanding social dynamics, who has that voice that says "they'd be better without you", who sometimes forgets that my system really does need more than peanut butter and chaos to survive, and that collecting shiny rocks like a raccoon is not a valid excuse for laundry piles of questionable cleanliness. I can say with absolute certainty that Simon and Cass are somehow both reflections of myself and I love them for it. Its so rare for me to find autistic representation that doesnt fall into the "love fixes all" trope. This one neatly navigates that issue without magically fixing Simon just because he wants to be fixed. I can say this is without a doubt the best representation of autistic visibility and coping that I have read. And I deeply appreciate it. "
Loved it!
"At last! A love story with a hefty lot of rocks! This geology nerd loved it!"
Ahhh- loved! Great representation
"I definitely don’t have the right words to properly review this story, but it was wonderful. I wanted more chapters, I just wanted to keep watching their days unfold and love grow. I said it in one of the early chapters that I truly didn’t want this book to have a conflict arc, because I loved them all too much and just wanted them to be happy. I loved all of their neurodivergent representations, Dr Simon was spot on, I think Wes had the right needs being fulfilled based on his trauma, and Cassidy had the exact ying-to-yang to join them all together. Well done ♥️"
Wow
"An amazing and beautifully written story."
I'm hooked
"I haven't loved characters this much in a long time. Well done to the author. The characters were written from a genuine place and it felt really organic. I appreciated having neurodivergent main characters that were relatable. This usually isn't the case in media. I'm so impressed that I'm writing this review, which I never do. Now hopefully the author doesn't abandon writing it because if that happens I might die from grief. I can't wait to read the rest of it. "
